Wyndham Edmonton Hotel and Conference Centre

Showed up and our room was booked for the wrong date so we had to pay double the price.Unfitted sheet fell off my bed as I slept so I woke up on the bare mattress- ew.After we slept I had a shower- the soap attracts insects so I was swarmed by dozens of flies and mosquitos all day as I went around the city.

mid. just what you would expect from a hotel, nothing more, nothing less. rooms were relatively clean, at least as much to the naked eye. breakfast was fine. haven't used any of the other facilities. true to the other comments, this hotel feels like its trapped in the previous century, but its not unpleasant in that fact. im mostly only writing this review because one of the hotel coffee cups decided to have a poorly fitted lid and had graced me with scolding hot coffee on my shirt, however it will probably be the only thing ill remember about this place so i might as well accept it. with that all said and done, its not a bad place, just could be better considered the crazy amount of hotels around it.

We stayed in this hotel for our sons basketball tournament for may long.Currently there is renovations being done in this hotel to get updated.Our room was on the fourth floor, very spacious, beds were comfy for that well needed rest.Very large hotel, gym was in the basement, has a small track, lot of equipment to get a workout in.There is a pool also.Great staff, great hospitality. And the breakfast here was always on point.

Pros: The atrium was very nice. The staff were very nice and hkeeping were quick to give us extra towels garbage bags when asked. We did see that families stayed at the hotel which was nice. It was quiet, very quiet.Cons: underground parking was very sketchy, straight out of a horror movie, very outdated room, hallways were dirty, the walls had patch holes and looked very run down, very long and eeery like it was a scene out of “The Shining”, the long trek downstairs to the pool and gym was also straight out of a horror movie and very out of the way, the hot tub was not working, the pool did not look very clean, the room was very outdated, our room did not have a fridge, our tub plug was broken and did not seal to have a bath, the water took way too long to get hot, we did not receive garbage bags in the garbage bins, the phones did not work, the balconies were back to back so our neighbours could jump over to ours with no effort which we didn’t like. Our alarm was set for 6am and woke us up, probably set from a previous occupant. Our key card did not work unless you held it at the access part for longer than usual. Definitely not what you see in the pictures.

Our hotel room seemed fine but the hallways in this building could be used in a horror film especially the ones that lead to the pool that was 2 floors underground. Our group felt dirty after taking a quick dip in the cold sketchy pool. No amount of showers will make you feel clean after an experience like that. But if you like the smell of sulphur, and someone banging on your door at 8am to ask if you are checking out on the date of your checkout, definitely stay here.

I read the reviews and was wondering how our stay would be. The location was very convenient for us, so we decided to take a chance. We had a very comfortable stay. Yes, the hotel is older style, and a little worn in places, the hall way carpet for example, but the room was very clean, spacious and provided all the amenities expected of a Wyndham hotel. It is undergoing renovation, but this did not disrupt our stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We were missing a plug for the bathtub, and when asked maintenance came up immediately to fix the problem. The buffet breakfast, not included in price, was delicious, with a wide range of items, hot cooked, fresh fruit, cereal, toast etc. This was very good value, compared to other hotels nearby and well worth it. We would stay here again when visiting Edmonton.

I took my mom to Wyndham Edmonton hotel and conference for mother's day brunch and we had a wonderful time. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the setting was beautiful in their atrium where there is a lot of natural light and greenery. The staff were friendly and attentive. This hotel and service has changed a lot since the last time I visited and I'm glad I gave it another chance. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a special occasion.

I dealt with Veronica when planning a our yearly Convention for our charity group. Veronica went above and beyond to make sure we had an exemplary Convention. She even came in on her day off as they had banquet staff call in sick. Whenever we had a small issue, Veronica was on top of making sure it was corrected immediately. I can't explain how great a job Veronica did!The room we were given was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. The room was very clean and tidy. The only thing is that we found the room we stayed in a little hot.

Cleaners and everyone else was very nice. We had a issue with a staff member though I would not recommend this for a sports team. Breakfast was perfect but the pool would not be open for our teams through 2 days.
