Westmount Place Walk In Clinic

Have ended up leaving twice because the wait time and order of appointments makes no sense. Other patients came with similar symptoms and were seen first and when we arrived there was only 1 other patient but 5 have been seen prior to us. Doctor doesn’t come until 10 but they open at 9. No information provided about anything. Just left to sit and wait for a doctor to randomly pick and choose who gets seen. Once you do get in they don’t shut the door and begin asking you personal medical questions. The doctor was some what professional. She either didn’t understand what was told to her regarding symptoms or asked the same thing several times.I have been to all of the other walk-ins in town when they’re at peak times and the wait time is basically half. I would highly recommend finding another clinic in the local area. Unless

They made me pay a $40 deposit for an expired health card. Dr. Usmani prescribed me the wrong antibiotic for a UTI (a simple ailment any doctor should be able to treat). I showed up 40 minutes before they even opened and it still took me an hour to recieve care. I called back to follow up and nobody is even picking up the phone.

Arrived for walk in clinic before 10am and there were already 3 other people waiting. The triage staff was friendly and professional. The first patient went in around 10:20. My wait was about 45 minutes. Doctor Ogbeide was great. For my visit I really wanted to see a female doctor and I called to a number of walk in clinics in Waterloo and Kitchener and they told me they didn’t have any female doctors on staff. Weird! This was the only place I could find with a female doctor.

Waited an hour and was told about a 45 minute wait. I watched 2 people helped in an hour, then a lady came from outside and spoke with the doctor for 15 minutes and didn’t have an appointment. Then the doctor left for her lunch, staff didn’t even tell us she takes lunch at 2:00pm. If I had known that I would have gone some place else as I only get one hour lunch. Very upset and frustrated as I’ve been in pain for days! Also their receptionist wearing the cartoon scrubs has attitude and looks unapproachable - not good customer service! In addition their hours they post online are not true - today they close at 5pm, this info is online and posted on their door. I drove back around at 4:20pm and they were completely closed down. This is not the first occurrence where they have not followed their hours. Not impressed!!

If you don't drive and need a COVID test - this is the place to go.They will pick you up and take you home (free of charge).Really prompt and accurate appointment times. My appointment was set for 10:20, and I was picked up on time and when I arrived I was seen immediately.I received my results two days later (went on a Monday morning, had the results by Wednesday evening).The doctor even personally called me to see how I was doing on Thursday evening (they give a three day window for test results, so although I received mine a little early he called me the day that they said the results would be in).He asked me how I was feeling and made sure I had received my Negative test results online.His wife is the one who drives and does the pick up/drop off. She was lovely as well (although it was a little hard to hear from behind the plexiglass in the backseat!). You can really tell this couple has put their heart into doing this for the community. It was really thoughtful for them to switch the clinic into a COVID testing site AND offer a pick up/drop off option for those who are unable to go to the drive-thru test centres.I honestly don't know what people in Waterloo Region (those who can't drive or don't have access to a vehicle) were doing before. This clinic has has tapped into a much needed service for Waterloo Region at the moment (writing on February 4, 2021). Fantastic service. Of course, ironically, I hope I don't have to go again, but for those who do, this is the best option.

Nice reception and doctor, can walk in and basically be seen. But it seemed like because they aren't busy they try and get as much out of their patients as possible. I had to see the doctor 5 times for a simple prescription and called me to give me test results separately when results were negative and I didn't/need the first set of results... So instead of one or two trips like I would normally do, I ended up having to go 5 times just to get a prescription...

Very professional with Covid19 testing. Dr. Adam Gate was very patient with my toddler and explained everything in a caring way. Thank you.

My wife was greeted nicely by friendly and informative staff. The waiting room was very pleasant and clean, she didn't wait more than ten minutes to see the doctor. The doctor explained everything thoroughly about her treatment and was very thorough.This is her second visit to this clinic and both times tests were taken, results were called to our home and everything made her feel very comfortable.Being fairly new to the area and not finding a new physician yet she was a little apprehensive on going but both times came out feeling very comfortable that she had been looked after by both doctors.Thanks Dr. Yassim, Dr. Irvine and the staff of Westmount Walk-In Clinic

My experience with this walk in is AMAZING! I am always greeted with a smile. The staff is friendly and my favorite doctor- Dr. Yassin is knowledgeable and friendly. She is not a pill pusher" she recommends based on your actual problem. She makes my experience worth while each time. I know I will have to get a family doctor (eventually) but I don't want to. I want her to take care of me and my family because I trust her. I recommend this office and Dr. Yassin"

Usually the wait time is less than 30 mins. I also usually see Dr. Irvine. He's the best! This time however I was the first one into the office, two women came in a few minutes after me. They both were seen right away. Maybe they had an appointment. No problem. I've now been sitting in Room 3 for over 45 minutes. I'm beginning to wonder if they forgot about me as I can hear the doctor speaking with a man next door. If Westmount Walk-In employees read this, check room 3, I think you forgot I'm here.
