Many great memories of this beach from childhood and my most recent visit with three little ones under the age of five was no different. Boardwalk from the parking lot leads to cobblestone and then down to sand. Beach is shallow with warm water and plenty of sandbars - perfect for little ones to play. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer months. Bring snacks and water as there is no canteen service at the beach.

This was a nice beach. The sand has some seaweed, rocks and such on it, but once you're in the water the sand is fabulous - barely a rock in sight! Very warm water, and it's just a short walk from the parking lot.

The beach was pretty with easy access. You park across the street and cross the road to get to beach. Easily marked. The kids wouldn’t swim because there were sooo many hermit crabs! Very cool. They puked with them for an hour. The beach was long and others appeared to be swimming further down. Less then 15 mins from 104 hwy

Beware...Google Maps will lead you *past* the park to an unmarked dirt road. It goes to another beach via a rough road.Stop when you see the park sign, it does not say beach on it. Park in the lot to the left of the sign and walk across the road to the beach. No idea how good it is...because we went to the wrong beach...thanks google!

Not much of a beach. Nice but rocky and not too big. Huge parking lot across the road. Two picnic tables and two outhouses. Beautiful scenery

Bayfield is a nice little Beach. There are no trails for walking but the water is shallow for a long time with a nice sandy bottom. On our last visit we were pleased to see that they have improved the beach access point. Additionally, the beach itself seemed to have been groomed with a larger rock free area.

Great beach for families! The water is shallow for quite some time, there are lifeguards on duty, and there's ice cream just down the road.Be aware the beach does have some rocks and the water has some seaweed, but this just means there's some interesting ocean wildlife for the kids to see while they're swimming around.

Beautiful beach and great way to spend the day especially with kids, little sandy areas and other rock areas great for exploring or metal detecting.

Short visit on the way back from CB, nice boardwalk to a rocky shorefront. Water was much warmer than expected. We were the only ones there on a Saturday morning.
