Bloor-Annex Residences

Reasonable rent considering proximity to UofT. All amenities nearby. Construction noise can be a problem. Apartments facing walmer road have a better view and are less noisy than the ones facing Bloor/parking lot. No A/C or light fixtures in older non-renovated apartments. Responsive building management.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUILDING!!My flatmate and I lived here for 5 years. We liked it a lot because of its location and also the price we paid for a corner suite, 2 bedroom apartment. We knew the management and staff are not so great, but we did not know how horrible they are, until BEDBUGS spread throughout the building. Here is the story:Around month ago, We found bedbugs in our apartment. We informed the rental office immediately, only to hear them downplay the problem, saying OK

Staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating of all questions and concerns. Very nice apartments

Just Move in couple months ago, this building has good management and so far no roaches and bugs . also it has a good view for east and west of bloor street , also subway is 10 steps from the building.. also superintendent is very nice and fast of fixing things..

Seriously do not live here! Moved here Nov 2019 thinking it was an upgrade. High ceilings, great light, nice view, big floor plans, reasonable rent and great location.What you actually get is literally the oldest highrise in Toronto. Elevators are constantly broken, cockroach infestation (thankfully no bedbugs tho!), so much construction/traffic noise, smells from neighbouring units, hot water down for days on end, washers that ruin your clothes, unsecure underground parking, weekly false fire alarms at all hours, loading dock with stairs (your movers will hate you) and a lobby with stairs (your grocery delivery people will hate you). Don't believe the listings, only the first 5 floors are renovated, all others are old with no AC.

Rented an apartment for a year.Management has poor communication, internally and externally to tenants. The rental office thinks something is done one way, but the property manager says it's done another way. The rental office thinks we're suing them, but we never filed anything.We made a big mistake coming here without checking the bed bug reports. There have been reports a few years ago, and there were still bed bugs when we lived here. Not ideal to put students in this situation.So if you love to spread bed bugs and you don't care about the staff, this old building is perfect for you.

Maintenance issue resolved in a timely manner and the maintenance guy is active and helpful. Hats of to HENRY who did an awesome job. Office staff is polite and attentive to our needs.
