I am so impressed with the quality of ingredients and the process of making the recipes! I always avoided meal services due to believing the ingredients could be poor, but that is not the case. It’s exciting to be trying something new twice a week. For me and my partner we get 2X meals once a week and it saves me the time of planning a meal + going to buy groceries! Love this service and will continue to use it. It’s worth the $57 a week for total of 4 meals; comes to about $14 a meal. No wasted ingredients and our tummies are full.

I've been using Fresh Prep loyally for nearly a whole year now, and we order every single week! I have enough experience with them now to leave a thorough review.Before we discovered Fresh Prep (by spotting their delivery bag on a neighbours doorstep, lol!), we were using the other food prep services and found them to be getting lacklustre, and the portions oftentimes tiny. We had planned to just try Fresh Prep out, and assumed we'd end up going back to the others, but after our first experience with them we realized we had really been missing out by not trying them sooner. Their portions are incredible! We're very active people, and so we like to have good portions at dinner to refuel. Fresh Prep never skimps. Additionally, in a whole year, we've so rarely experienced missing or rotten items. One time some honey was missing (we had sugar, so whatever), and then there was a tomato that looked nice on the outside, but was rotten in the middle (no one could have possibly known by looking a it!). Otherwise, everything has been truly so fresh. A company that lives up to its name. Love it! It truly looks like the people packing the meals are being picky about selecting good produce—which is so important with these services. With the other meal-kit companies we used, we had so many missing items (it actually became stressful as we're really busy people and hated having to run out to the grocery store all the time), and so many completely rotten items.If I had one wish, though, it would be that they allow the meals with meat to be selected by vegetarians, but with a substitute when possible. So if it's burgers, allow vegetarians to select that meal, but with Beyond meat. I think burgers and sausages (beyond does amazing sausages!) are the only things that would translate, but even that would open up more options.I should add that during a winter storm in quite bad conditions, they still managed to deliver our meals. The weather was so nasty that I'd assumed it wouldn't be arriving, and when I heard them leave the bag by the door, I was so impressed and almost cried tears of joy. I love a dependable company.Looking forward to using Fresh Prep for many years to come!

First delivery in the Comox Valley! They just started delivery here and we were super excited. Four of us used to be customers in Vancouver before moving to the island, so we got together and cooked 2 recipes. They were both super tasty, just like I remember and easy to cook.The ingredients were still fresh even getting them delivered on the island, and there was no additional rural delivery fee like Chef’s plate and Hello Fresh have.It was such a fun thing to cook with friends together on a dark cold night, thanks Freshprep

I've tried most of the meal kits offered in the Vancouver and Fresh Prep is by far the winner. Recipes are great and their zero-waste" options very much reduce the amount of packaging compared to other meal kits

I loved this meal plan for the first few months. About 6 months in i kept finding rotten produce in my delivery.. which is annoying because of course i dont have a back up cucumber, tomato, etc.Now about one meal a week i have rotten meat getting delivered to my house. After letting fresh prep know about this they offered me store credit, and an apology.Instead of having an employee try to sweet talk me i to staying i have decided to quit fresh prep and come straight to the review page.So.. 2 stars. And its only 2 because i have had some very decent meals. But feeling ripped off more and more with the quality and freshness of ingredients, aswell as price increases.

Hands down the best meal delivery service I’ve used. Ingredients are always fresh, plenty of great recipes to choose from, and I love their reusable packaging/cooler bags. Portion sizes are large. Also love the grocery options. I find my food bill has actually dropped considerably as there is no waste and it keeps me away from impulse buys at the grocery store. There customer service is also wonderful. Highly recommend

So beyond unimpressed with this company. We have never purchased from them but had an order left on our front porch Tuesday (clearly not intended for us). As they didn't ring the doorbell, the order sat on the porch until we noticed it Wednesday morning. We called them first thing Wednesday and they said they would send someone to collect it. By Thursday afternoon, it was still on our porch. I called again and the agent advised the earliest they could pick it up was Sunday! Obviously I couldn't leave rotting food on my front porch for that length of time, so when I asked what I should do about it she advised to dispose of it. What a massive pain and waste for a mistake that was not ours. If you're going to deliver food and there's a mistake, you must have better response protocols.Edited to add: Fresh Prep promised that someone would come to pick up the bag and containers once I emptied out the rotten food. Not surprisingly at this point, no one showed up for the pick up window. That was 2 days ago, so today we simply threw the bag and containers I had taken the time to empty and wash out away. I would never order from this company - what waste on so many levels and their business practices are a mess.

I’ve been using Fresh Prep for years, as a single person, with roommates, and with partners. It’s amazing. The quality is fantastic and I’d never be able to make meals this good without having waste, or visiting ten different grocery stores to get all the various ingredients. My partner didn’t know how to cook prior to using Fresh Prep, but now really loves the process and gets creative in his free time with food. Customer service is always great. If a delivery is late or an ingredient is missed they are super helpful at rectifying the situation. We will be long time customers!
