TC'z Dance Studio

My daughter attends TC'z dance studio. She absolutely loves it! The owners are wonderful and the teachers are friendly, loving and creative. The high energy dance instruction is very engaging and keeps the attention, focus and love for dancing strong. I would highly recommend!

My daughter has been dancing at TCZ Dance studio for a year and we couldn't be happier. Tonya and the staff are amazing with the kids and are dedicated to boosting their confidence and skill level while enjoying the process. The overall vibe in the studio is always positive & welcoming and we love being a part of this dance family.

Where to begin!In short she never reimbursed me my for my two girls competition funds when she received a refund after the competition was cancelled. Almost $1000 USWho does that??Covid restrictions meant no classes.. then her studio caught fire. About a month she moved to zoom. Good for her. But not for everyone$500/month for dance lessons on zoomI live in the country. Internet was poor before Covid. Now with everyone on it almost impossible to keep connectionNot to mention kids are not engaged, I can’t dance so can’t supervise, my home is not a dance studio and there are risk factors, girls had to do tap on plywood- jazz on carpet. We tried but it just didn’t work so I had to pull the girls out for a while (didn’t know at the time Covid would last 3 years) said I come back in SeptemberShe said the girls couldn’t go to competition if I pulled them. What!!! Not my fault a global pandemic happenedOk. What could I do. So they would join rec in the fallI asked about a refund she said the competition. Hollywood vibe I think would not reimburse meCompetition was canceled anyway and she, as the dance studio, was reimbursed 100% for every member who prepaid. But she didn’t reimburse me? She paid anyone who continued taking classes by zoom. Or so I’m told. Not me though because I pulled my girls out of zoom dance. Said a signed a contract until June. I pulled the girls in May/June. It was Covid. My contract was for in class lessons. I was paying $500/month for two girlsThought of small claims court, fairly confident I was in a good position to win and I would include court fees which would cost me about $500. But then found out even if the judge ruled in my favour she could still refuse to pay then it would be up to me to get payment from her And even if the judge ruled her to pay.More cost for me. Let’s face it. If she had any integrity or even a shred of honour I wouldn’t be writing this.People with no morale compass don’t give a hoot and certainly would not just offer up the original US funds with what is surely a high exchange rate today plus the added cost of court feesI’d just be throwing more money on a problem that I couldn’t fixCovid hurt everyone not just small businesses and people shouldn’t treat people like thatWouldn’t recommend her to anyoneNo integrity or honestyNot cool

My children have had the pleasure of dancing with TC’z Dance Studio for the last 10 years. It is their “home away from home”. They are an incredible dance studio with awesome kids, teachers and parents. I would highly recommend it for both recreational or team dancers. The kids are hardworking, kind and respectful and have so much fun together! The parents are always willing to help each other out and become like extended family. The teachers and owners Tonya and Rod Soutar genuinely care about the kids and help them to develop to their full potential, both as dancers and as people. They make everyone feel welcome! They believe in the kids and empower them to be the best version of themselves. The choreography is outstanding. The recitals are the most entertaining in town. My kids have had so many amazing experiences because of TC’z Dance Studio and we are forever grateful!!

I’ve always been hesitant on signing my daughter up for dance because I didn’t want her to feel any less not being on a competition team. My daughter kept asking for me to sign her up for dance and I am so glad I choose Tcz’s. They make everyone there feel welcome! My daughter absolutely loves it! She has gained so much confidence! Tcz’s treats everyone equal no matter if you are there for recreation or competitive dance! Thank you Tcz’s!! Looking forward to watching my daughter perform at the recital next month!

What a tremendous studio! My son and daughter have finished their first dance season with TC'z and we couldn't be happier. The care and commitment of the the owners, Tonya and Rod Soutar is apparent in the family atmosphere that exists when you walk through the doors. They have built a studio that prides itself in hard work and dedication.This studio is different from the other studios that my daughter has danced with because of it's inclusion and innovation. The instructors worked with all students to meet them at their level and bring out their very best. My shy son, who originally wanted nothing to do with being on stage, blossomed with confidence and gave it his all! He felt safe in knowing that it was never about being the best dancer, but rather doing the best that he could. We are so pleased with his personal growth. As for my daughter, this season has sparked a love for dance that exudes from her being. She has gained innumerable skills in both ballet and jazz using upbeat and fresh choreography rather than the tired, old-school recordings we experienced at another studio for two seasons.We are so pleased with TC'z rec programs. Not only did it keep my kids active for a few hours a week, but it helped them develop skills that are transferable to school and life: hard work, accountability, attentive listening, and being able to work together. We are looking forward to next season.

We are so impressed with the level of professionalism and organization at TC'z. Our daughter is always so happy and excited before and after dance class. Miss Tonya is amazing at keeping her on task and helping her retain the choreography while always keeping it fun. We can't recommend TC'z enough!

My daughter finished her first session with TC'z and loved it. She did not have the experience of the other dancers but Tonya recognized her need for encouragement and has a well-balanced teaching style. Not only is her instruction clear and energetic, it's quite obvious that she is extremely knowledgeable in dance technique and physical safety. I also found that both owners (Tonya and Rod) are very friendly and personable with parents. This business is professional and organized. The hard work and creativity of the June recital just blew us away!

We have been coming to TC'z for one year. We were new to the dance world and unsure what to expect. My daughter has fallen in love with dance. This is because of the teacher's attention to teach in a positive constructive way. Not only is my daughter being taught dance she is also being taught the benefits of working hard and accomplishing goals for herself along with her team. We have become like a family here encouraging eachother and watching our children succeed. The passion Mrs. Tonya has for her students definitely shows because of the amazing dancer my daughter has become.
