Motel de la Montagne

Specifically booked online as it was pet friendly. After driving 9 hours, we stopped for the night. We were told no dogs. We explained our situation to the nice lady at the front desk. She talked to the owner, and they were gracious enough to give us a room for the night. Very large room, very clean, and has lots of hot water. Bed and pillows fall flat. Very uncomfortable, you can hear all noises through the walls and upstairs.

This motel was amazing. Even though no food was available in the motel, it was next door to a restaurant.The room was impeccably clean and updated. The bathroom and shower were wonderful.The hostess was gracious and very friendly. I would recommend this motel to anyone.If five stars were given to motels, this would deserve one.

It was a little bit sketchy after I parked my car man and woman walk next to a dumpster then looked they were in the dark so I don't know what they're up to that's why I move my vehicle I had my ATV on my trailer I moved it in front of my window open the curtains so I can watch it. It was 4:00 a.m. we left and I slide the key next to the register just push it over and took pictures of it proof that I returned it. Every time on that highway I always see that sign I finally stayed there.

We were returning to Ontario from Nova Scotia on October 22nd and had been on the road for approximately 12 hours. It was raining and both myself and my wife were tired and began looking for a place to get off the road. We spotted the signage for the Motel de la Montagne from the highway and headed for it.Our experience from start to finish was nothing short of spectacular. The receptionist at the office was an absolute pleasure to deal with and was very personable, friendly and welcoming during the sign in process.The room was large and modern with all the amenities. In all our years of traveling, we've never seen a motel room this clean. It was absolutely spotless throughout from the beds to the bathroom and all at a great price.We will definitely be returning to this motel for our annual trips to the east coast going forward.We would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking clean accommodations and friendly service above and beyond expectations.Our many thanks to the receptionist on duty that night. We thoroughly enjoyed the conversation, you made our day!

A last minute necessity but a very nice surprise! The rooms was extremely spacious and comfortable. There was a problem with the TV but was no big deal for us. The owners we very friendly and accommodating. The only issue I had was with the stairs, with it being a last minute reservation, we had to take a room on the 2nd floor. I will definitely be booking ahead of schedule for my return trip. It was a nice place to stay overall.

Beds are good and the bathroom has been updated. The air conditioning unit barely works. The reception did not book the room correctly and were not going to do anything about it until it was clear we were going to leave.

Rooms smell awful (musty, cigarettes, extremely strong room spray) and room felt super damp. Bedding was very old and didn’t smell clean. Door lock on the bathroom was broken. Could hear everything in the halls. Price was the only decent thing about this place. Super disappointed considering we booked based on the good reviews.

Manager(owner) was super nice and bilingual. Even gave me a beer as all the shops were closed when we arrived ! Gave us several travel tips on the area Price was right.

Front desk was super nice and the room is spotless, as well as cat friendly. I will definitely come back when I'm going through. If I can rate this out of 10 it will be a 10.

Travelling through and found this gem! Very clean and spacious room with a comfy bed. Quiet and the restaurant opens at 5am for early birds who want to get going first thing in the morning. Highly recommend!
