Anacortes Toll Booths

Fantasticly friendly staffAlways super nice to me when I drop off machines that are being taken onto the ferry or whenever I'm taking machines on the ferryMakes it so much easier when people are nice and accommodating

Wonderfully kind staff. A gentleman employee at Anacortes (with muscle blue car) was very kind to help me charge my suddenly dead battery. Then another nice employee came to help. Thank you. For newcomers... the ferry is late a lot! Plan, enjoy the views

Terminal location is beautiful. Lots of parking. Terminal building is an old landmark (1973 was my first visit) & a little too cold for me in the winter. Bus doesn't have access to this building & drops people off in middle of parking lot. Bus pick up point is at parking lot entrance. Soup & sandwich are available along with other snacks. Great walking trail along beach about half mile one way. If ferry is really late, you can walk to park and back.

Be sure to arrive for your scheduled ferry at the suggested time. They do reservations 1mos, 2 weeks, and day off. Parsing them out to ensure tourists & locals both have some access to the Islands.Arrived 10 min before our scheduled departure time and did NOT get on.Arrive 30 min ahead of time to guarantee a spot

We did the walk on to the ferry. We parked to the left side of the toll booths. We found if you go straight towards the tool booths you can park closer.

Honestly if I could I wouldn't give them a single start their service is lousy they keep skipping us we had an appointment since a week ago and we have been sitting here for almost 2 hours and they let a bunch of other people go before us and now I don't even think we are going to be able to deliver the piano to the customer because the service that they have and it's not fair for the customer which is I think they need to change their service or the way they run the lines for the ferry their service is lousy if I could I would get a different type of fairy but I guess they get to do whatever they want since there's no more fairies for cars and trucks or whatever so good luck with this people

Ensure you arrived early to the toll booth, oftentimes will be four or five cars in front of you so plan for this and ensure you arrive more than 30 minutes prior to ferry, as you don't want to lose your reservation, which will happen if you arrive to the toll booth less than 30 minutes from the time of sailing. Reservations can be obtained either by calling or downloading the WSDOT app. Just Google Washington State ferries to find the WSDOT app. If you have a vehicle that is over 22 ft long and some pickups are longer than 22 ft or you have a vehicle that is taller than 7 ft. 2 in then You absolutely should make a reservation in advance. As there is limited space for these these oversized vehicles.

The toll booth was fine. The 4 hour wait for a ferry was a little bit tough. But I'm more use to it than the tourist. It was like this in the early 80's.

Due to THEIR problems I got bumped off my sailing, last of the night, costing me a LARGE no show penelty for my lodging. Plus charge for a different hotel for the night. Happy anniversary. Not.
