Tofino General Hospital

We are on a holiday and our little guy was feeling ill, Dr Josh and Nurse Emily were so kind and compassionate with him. Level of care was fabulous!

The team of nurses and doctors listened to me and started treating me quickly. I am a “hard start” with an IV and they did a good job. They were very caring and made me comfortable during my short stay.

Just wanted to write a review in saying that my experience at this hospital was a very good one! Unfortunately I broke my leg on vacation but the nurses, X-ray technician and doctor took very good care of me and were very friendly! Hopefully you won’t have to make a hospital visit on your vacation but if you do, know that you will be in good hands at this hospital! Thanks again for all your help and kindness!

Incredible staff. Just incredible. I won't get into details about why a hospital visit was needed, but I will say that if you're in trouble in Tofino/Ukee, you'll be taken care of. Make sure to say thank you.

I had a bad fishing accident in 2015 in a remote stretch of a beach ... lets just say you should aways wear your glasses when fishing. Made my way here to this hospital. The nurse took me in immediately, the doctor came within a minute (guess it was a bad injury) and took good care of me for the new four hours, checking on me every 15 minutes. Thank God for this hospital in a remote but beautiful place like Tofino.Thank you.

Wonderful staff and care! Walked in with a burn on a busy ER night and everyone was very swift, caring and kind. Much appreciated!

I went in to the ER today to have my self checked. I had the finest experience with service and the staff. The nurse, Spencer, was very accommodating and making sure I am comfortable. She was very concerned and even so kind to offer me water and snacks. Arman (not sure if i got his name right, but he’s the guy that took my blood sample), was very friendly and has the lightest hand. I didn’t even noticed he’s done taking 5 tubes of my blood for samples. And the doctor, Dr. George, was very professional and made sure to explain well what was going on in my situation. Service was a bit slow, but I understand there’s a bunch of other patients they’d have to deal with, too. And hey, I got a tuna sandwich so as the whole experience wasn’t so bad being in the Emergency room.

I broke my leg and the immediate service was excellent and the on call emergency doctor ( Lincoln Forester ) was very skilled and even phoned me the day after to check in to my health. I gladly say that this service is way better than Abbotsford's hospital.Thanks again to everyone who helped me that night of pain and agony.

I had to go to the ER at the Tofino Hospital on New Year's Day, 2019. Everyone...the nurse, Dr. Thicke and the xray technician...was just wonderful!
