Payne's Pools did an amazing job on our pool 4 years ago, and we continue to feel like we are a priority when we have any pool related questions or needs. We hired Paynes based on the host of good reviews on Google. Everything leading up to our opening was great with Ben. Then came the opening which we trusted them to complete while we were out of town. I will not go into all the details but I will say, many many mistakes were made including forgetting to add chemicals to the pool and when we called them to come back they failed to prime our brand new pump to the point that it almost burned out after they left (the water in the pump was boiling and the pump was smoking). I was told they aren't responsible for what happens after they leave. Not once did they apologize for the mistakes. They apologized for how I felt" and still sent a full charge invoice. We will never use them again and I urge them to develop a better approach to humility and responsibility.I hope others have a better experience. I am not trying to deter people from supporting a small business owner

During the pool off season Shawn undertook a bathroom renovation and rebuild and did an outstanding job. He coordinated the other required trades and guided the project effectively and efficiently to completion. It was a pleasure working with the team at Payne’s Pools !

Don't let the fancy pool water sample computer make you think this operator knows what they are doing, as they clearly do not. Before sampling your pool water, they will waste your time taking all of your information for marketing. Then I was sold $140 worth of chemicals to treat my pool. After following the instructions provided and returning 3 days later with another sample from my pool which had become worse, i was told the initial approach was incorrect, without any empathy, and treated poorly by the elderly lady there. The younger lady tried to sell me algaecide, further suggesting this should have been the initial approach. Still no apology or empathy for the money and time i had wasted previously. Unfortunately their location was convenient so I gave them a chance, but after this horrible experience i will return to the professional operators in town, of which there are many to choose from. Excellent job correcting a landscaping issue in my backyard. Certainly a creative solution provided and cost effective. Would highly recommend!

They were honest up front about possible delays due to Covid-19 and delivered us beyond what we envisioned.
