Ladycross Plantation Caravan Park

Absolutely wonderful campsite just outside of Whitby. The staff are very friendly, the toilets and showers are immaculate and the spots are fairly large, and nicely spaced.The location is beautifully located in a forest, but the wide fields allow for plenty of fun activities. Sadly, most spots are semi-permanent and there aren't that many spots for people just passing through, which makes the camping a bit empty on weekdays.Nearby are plenty of opportunities to entertain yourself. A small bike ride downhill (~5 mins) is a lovely pub which I can highly recommend and the Whitby Park & Ride is situated just 10 minutes away from the campground.In short, wonderful camping and a great recommendation as a starting point to visit Whitby.

From arriving on site you are welcomed with the most helpful and friendly of receptions we have experienced in years of caravanning.The pitch was an immaculate and spacious perfectly flat hardstanding superpitch.The staff are so friendly and helpful and the toilets are 1st class for cleanliness and being modern. We are very happy that we chose to stay here and will definitely be back.

Beautiful caravan site set amongst trees. Covid compliant. Lovely staff. A lot of seasonal pitches, so not all occupied at any one time. 25 minutes walk into Egton where there are 2 pubs. Whitby close, and beautiful Yorkshire coastal villages.

Highly recommend these lodges. We travelled with a 3 month old, travel cot was supplied. Very clean accommodation and set in quiet surroundings. Provided us with tea, coffee and other condiments which was a nice touch. Free WiFi. 15 minute drive to Whitby.

Not sure where to start but in brief this has to be one of our favourite campsites that we have ever been to (and that’s plenty of them). The location and setting is absolutely beautiful, nestled in the woods. The campsite was extremely quiet too.Toilets were clean and spotless every day (nice and modern, tiled)Lisa and Kieran(?) were very welcoming, provided a pack on arrival with local information, walks and take you to your pitch (wish more campsites were like this)Not the cheapest at £34 a night but in my opinion it’s worth it! Next time we are back we will stay here the entire duration of our trip and revolve our stay around this beautiful campsite.All the best,Luke and Jen

What a beautiful place best site we've ever visited. So peaceful so clean and well kept. Large level and well spaced out pitches. Great showers and clean bathrooms. Amazing dog run a really large grass area with long grasses all around my dog loved it. The wooded area was wonderful well kept paths lots of different tracks covers a huge area. Lots of wildlife deer's hare's squirrel's and birds. So close to Whitby bay too either drive or bus which is a great day out. Will definitely be making another booking soon.

Wonderful well kept site. We are a little biased because we used to be wardens here. Still a fantastic place to be. We had a fully serviced pitch. Quiet and peaceful. New addition is extra land for dog walkers. Would always return.

We have a seasonal touring pitch on the site, you won't find a better place to be, bags of wildlife spotless service block, staff ultra friendly and secure site . Stones throw from Whitby. Lovely pubs in Egton village.
