Waterdown Music Academy

My daughter has taken both singing and guitar lessons at Waterdown Music Academy for many years now. She started when she was 10 and was very shy. The staff are amazing, always happy and engaging, sweet and patient, professional and knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. She has blossomed into a confidant teenager who still LOVES her lessons each week. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!!

As a retiree, learning music and piano at WMA has been very rewarding. My teacher progresses me through the material at my pace and he always has time for all my questions. He is very encouraging and the feedback is constructive and positive, not something you get from self taught courses. They offer lots of flexibility for class scheduling and you pay by the lesson. I highly recommend WMA.

Excellent instruction for aspiring adult age pianists! Learning the piano can be daunting, especially as an adult. Instructor Brian's Cashion's patience and dedication, along with his willingness to supplement book lessons with songs of my own choosing has made the experience a weekly pleasure instead of an ordeal. The supplementary materiel allows me to develop an understanding of the concepts for playing and writing music, using songs I know and treasure. I often look forward to the new challenges Brian devises each week, he has a real talent in combining playing technique and music theory in an exceptionally enjoyable and engaging way.

We have sent our son to Waterdown Music Academy this past year, and we cannot say enough about how pleased we have been. Brian in particular worked incredibly well with our son, displaying not only musical knowledge, but also the ability to teach through patience, encouragement, and recognizing when to push our son to reach his potential. I love the Music Academy! Sabrina is my teacher and she is great. She teaches me everything I need to know. She doesn't get mad at me if I mess up. The Music Academy lets me learn more about instruments. The academy is my best friend.I switched from what I was learning before. I was doing singing, now I am learning to play piano. I stopped singing because I am too scared to sing in front of people and I thought that would affect how I sung. Once I stopped singing, I had the choice of ukulele, piano and some others. I was having a hard time deciding between the two but I decided to do piano since I'd like to learn something new. I'm working on keyboard kickoff and my challenge is coming up soon and I am very excited!That's it! Thanks for the best music place!<3 Ruby K. <3

Waterdown Music Academy is a great place for young children to start their music lessons. We are very happy with the academy and the way they encourage our son on his piano adventures.

Through lessons at Waterdown Music Acadamy both my sons have acquired a love of music that will last a lifetime! Lessons are engaging and I find my children looking forward to them each week. I could not be happier with the level of professionalism and service!

My first daughter has been taking piano lessons with the Academy Director, Brian, for over a year now. Brian is cheerful, friendly, gentle yet still challenging. I’m very happy with how both of my daughters are progressing. I also like how he does “musical ladder” challenges. She earned her first trophy by meeting that challenge! Brian’s patience, kindness and creative learning/teaching strategies have made piano lessons a joy. I’m always pleased and impressed when I listen in on Brian’s lessons with my kids.

My daughter joined this music school almost a year back and her progress has been phenomenal. We are very happy with the style of learning and most teachers seem to be accomplished experts in their field of music. The annual recital hosted by the academy has been a great motivator for my daughter. I'd personally recommend anyone wanting to learn music to try the good place Brian and his crew has been running.
