I hadn't been I'm 10+ years and my Partner never before. We went last night and tonight. The food was amazing and fast service. Super yummy, huge portions and not too pricey at all.

We don't live in Cornwall but from there so when we return home we always hit up Philos as we love there food especially their homemade salad dressing. Well we visited Philos this past Thursday and I ordered and received my Salad and I found it to be gritty like the lettuce hasn't been washed properly. The gentleman came and he offered to exchange it which was great except the next one was the exact same way, I even had my wife try it and she found the same thing, gritty. So I called the gentleman back and all he did was offer me another salad by this time I'm like nope 2 gritty salads are enough. When it came time to pay the bill there was no mention of anything. I've been to many establishments and usually they offer a discount or something but nope not here. I doubt I'll be returning to this establishment anytime soon when we return back to Cornwall. I really believe the people that run this restaurant are more concerned with the bottom dollar than trying to ensure there customer is happy when leaving to ensure they'll return. Extremely disappointed.

So earlier my mom,grandmother, and I went to eat here. All is good until my mom starts eating her chicken brochette she says it tastes like charcoal/lighter fluid which yes is what they cook it under but shouldn’t have that taste. I smell it and it does smell like charcoal. She tells the waitress and she agrees so she goes back and tells the manager who was also the cook at the time. HE ATE some of her chicken in the back then comes back with the waitress and sets her food back down and starts arguing with my mother saying it’s fine but my mom can clearly taste it. Then in front of us he puts his hands in her dish and eats another piece just to show her it’s fine. Not very good customer service from him. The waitress is nice but the manager/cook not so much. I guess you can’t have complaints about his food even if you can taste it yourself. At least they didn’t charge us for the food she got. Even my grandmother had the same thing and it wasn’t like that it was just my mothers

If you are not sure where to go, pick here. This place is a staple in the community. Always good and never disappoints. Variety of dishes and reasonably priced. Great service to boot. Try the house dressing, homemade and delicious. They even sell bottles of the house dressing to take home!

Philos is my favorite restaurant in Cornwall!The food is great and there are so many options on the menu to choose from so you can have whatever you’re in the mood for. The service is great even on busy days and the prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

While I have been to this restaurant before, this time I opted to order take out and went with two pizzas: a veggie version and a classic all dressed. Delivery was fairly quick--always appreciated. Purchases are either cash or advance paid via credit card.I've been doing a pizza challenge looking for the best pizzas in Corwall. So far the best I've had was from King George Restaurant and that still stands.The toppings were fairly generous and they did not go heavy on the tomato sauce (which I prefer). The veggie pizza was too salty due to the green olives used but I was pleased to see that they added real tomatoes to it. The all-dressed pizza was definitely decent and I could only eat 2 slices because I found it very filling.Now the crust: While it was decent, I found it too chewy and too dense. IMHO a top notch pizza should have a lighter, airy crust--thin on the bottom and puffy on the outside rim. While the bottom crust was not too thick, the outer crust was lacking in air bubbles creating the dense result. Making pizza dough is an art and once you've had the lighter type, it's difficult to go back to a heavier one.To summarize, these are not bad pizzas and certainly acceptable but I'll be continuing my search for the best pizzas in Cornwall.

This place is awesome in every way. Great service, outstanding food, and at a price that is extremely reasonable. I always think they forgot to charge some things, but they are just not gouging customers like everywhere else is.

Ordered pizza and wings plate. Better they they take wings out of their menu. Never ever order wings plate waste of money, it's dry and garbage.
