It's a Shoe Repair

Terrible! Do not go here. I wish I had read the other reviews before taking my birkenstocks here. I asked him to replace the footbed, he said that wasn't possible, but he'd do what he could to fix them. He then put a new sole, did not restore the cork, and put glue in the leather footbed. He has ruined my birkenstocks and charged me $96 for the trouble. He made me pay in advance which should have been my first sign of trouble. NEVER bring anything you value to this repair shop.

Don’t go here! I should have read the reviews for this place - completely ruined a pair of expensive shoes by trying to glue a suede strap. Sloppy work and all around poor customer service. Charged me $40 to clean and polish a pair of leather loafers that came back dirtier than before I dropped them off. They also make you pre pay for the repair and cleaning so they really don’t care if you’re not happy with the work.

Don’t visit this store ever.Extremely dissatisfied with the shoe cleaning service provided. The entire service was a disaster. The communication was very poor, the shoes came back in the same condition, the price was unjustifiably high compared to the service provided. I strongly recommend against using services from this store. The owner lied about cleaning the shoe lace and the bottom, it had the same stains as before which could have removed easily with some soap.For the owner, the shoe cleaning service does not cleaning shoelace and the bottom, and according to him it should be an extra charge.

The Korean owner was very kind and honest upfront. I needed the inside heel area of my $300 sneakers rebuilt. He used top quality materials and it ended up more comfortable than when I bought them. Cost was reasonable ($50) and I got it the next day. I recommend

This is the worst place! Wanted new soles for my winter boots and I had specified that I needed something that was grippy so I wouldn't slip around on ice / in the snow (which I have been able to get done from other places for $25-35). When I got the boots back, the soles he had put on were cheap plastic that had NO grips on it and it cost $60. There was also this black glue-like substance all around the outside of the heel that had hardened. When I expressed my disappointment the shop owner was belligerent and rude and went on a tirade about how much experience he has, about what a great job he did and that I didn't know what I was talking about. Then he told me to leave and never come back because he doesn't need customers like me. DON'T GO HERE!

Absolutely amazing job on my sandals that I've worn so much that they close to being thrown out, but the owner did a fantastic job reviving it! Definitely coming back with the rest of my shoes that need some TLC!

Paid $60 in cash before work could be done, something I don’t normally do. Asked to add rubber on heels and soles. Note poor uneven workmanship on heels. The leather on boots did not have markings prior to repair. Now it does. Will have to take these to a proper shoe repair to be painted as the leather is now ruined.The owner told me that he did a good job that was worth $60 and that the boots were brought in in this terrible condition.His word against mine, but I will not be returning and highly recommend you stay away as well.

Took a pair of dress shoes to have the soles replaced. Happy with the results. Price was slightly lower than a second place in the path I went for a quote.

Fast, friendly, and affordable service! Had a very positive experience at It's a Shoe Repair. I had worn through the soles of my leather boots from the winter. So much so, that there was a hole in the leather itself where the sole was bonded to the boot. David Cha, the owner of the shop, repaired the leather and re-soled both boots for $55. I told him there was no rush but he completed the work in just 3 days. He saved my favorite boots and they look better than brand new and expect them to last much longer as a result of his work. Will be bringing all of my shoes here for repair in the future.

Had a pair of shoes with a heel put on. Took a week for the repair. The left heel fell off after 3 weeks. I took the shoes back, first response was to accuse me of having the repair done too long ago for a refund. Then I showed the shop owner my online banking with the payment (three weeks earlier). Next because I did bring the heel that fell of he said it was my fault and tried to charge me $20 for the re-repair. It is rare I post a Google review but pretty bad experience here. I am going to pay full price to have them done again somewhere else.
