Bayside Family Dentistry

Booked me in for an hour appointment but it only took half an hour, still got charged for the hour. I'm not on insurance but they still wouldn't change the charges.

Said I had 12 cavities, when I have never had any in the past. My current dentist confirmed if I did have any cavities they were very, very tiny and possibly not necessary to fix. One of the cavities was on my front tooth and now they on even more uneven because he grinded away part of the tooth and the filling/cap will not stay for longer than a month. He Insulted my smile and told me I should get my teeth fixed because they are not straight. This guy is a wanna be business man, looking to take your insurance company for a ride taking every penny he can squeeze out of a patient. He is a very bad, uncaring dentist with a horrible bedside manner. Stay away.

Dr. Mawashi is one of the kindest, gentlest, most caring people I know and the best dentist I've ever had in my whole life (and I've had a few). He treats our whole family and we know we are in good hands with him. I had very traumatic dental experiences throughout my life, and slowly, Dr. Mawashi is starting to erase all of that for me. My kids adore him. Dr. Haque is also lovely and a great addition to their practice.

Dr Mawashi'colleagues at this office are much nicer than him. Dr Oliver and the female Dr who work in this office are kind with a good bedside maker, seem to actually care about you and the quality of their work, and always do what they can to help with the costs of procedures. Dr Mawashi himself, however... I find that he never really listens to us, even when he asks specific questions he doesn't seem to listen to the answer. He never wants to help with costs, not that it is expected of him, but when his colleagues in the same office do, it makes him seem less caring in comparison.This last time we came in for an appointment for my handicapped, senior, frail mother, he did so much as to grab her wheelchair out of my hands because he was afraid I would scratch the paint on the walls with it ... I didn't touch the walls with the chair and wasn't going to, yet he physically grabbed it and said they were getting a lot of damage on their walls. He then told me in a rude tone of voice where I could park it. This was an incredibly unprofessional exchange that was quite upsetting to me. If you must go to this office, I would highly recommend seeing one of his coworkers rather than Dr. Mawashi.

I would 100% recommend this place to anyone I know. My 5 year old went in in tears terrified and came out saying “that was actually really fun”. Several visits and they have been nothing less than accommodating, kind and professional!

Love the modern office and their high-tech equipment., and most of all, their friendly staff. Had only positive experiences, and the new doctor Zhu is outstanding; am never going anywhere else!

My mom had a great experience with Bayside. The staff are very friendly, very professional and mom says their lab techs are really on the ball.Best customer service..

We have been using this office for many years and have found the Cathy, Amy and other reception staff make us feel welcome. Deb is excellent at cleaning teeth and Dr.Phil has made our kids comfortable with their visits. This makes going to the dentist office a pleasant experience

Dr Mawashi has been our dentist since we moved to Hanover in 2000. When he relocated to Owen Sound he was and still is our family dentist. Professional, courteous and friendly I cannot recommend him and he team enough!
