If you order on their online store, be aware that you cannot return anything that doesn't fit for a refund. You also have to pay for your own return shipping, so if you live in BC or further afield (like I do) then you are stuck with a paying $30 a time in postage for every item that doesnt fit. As they only offer store credit - you have to keep doing that and wasting your money until you find something that does work. I will never recommend or order from this store again.***Edit in response to reply from the store.I understand that you are a small business, I also managed a small retail store for 2 years. However, we would assess each situation on an individual basis, and would provide some flexibility for our customers in the case of a complaint. There is no compromise with your store, and you keep referring to your terms and conditions which are easy to overlook. How about you add this in bold next to your online check out?I returned my items in exactly the same condition in which they arrived, and did not dispute the cost of return shipping. The order was returned 6 months ago, and I have been battling to receive my refund since then. I also don't want to waste any more time or $ on this.You have your items, and have probably sold them on to someone else since then. If you provide a refund, I will happily delete this review, and you will never hear from me again. You have my email address, and I'm open to negotiate if you'd rather discuss this privately than on a public review. So far you haven't seemed very interested in that - so here we are.I think that your inflexibility to cooperate is ridiculous, and I stand by my opinion. It is fair for me to warn other potential customers who are thinking of ordering from your website that they are stuck in an awkward position if their items do not suit.Being a small business is not an excuse to try and avoid dealing with complaints.

Fabulous boutique for retro plus size. They have sizes from smalll to 4x. I was a little overwhelmed when I walked in. One of the staff offered to measure my waist to help me know what size I was. She also measured my hips (I have a big discrepancy) and then she measured the dresses before bringing them to me. Staff was supportive and attentive. I bought 4 dresses including a very cute overall dress that I would never have thought to look at but she told me to try. Loved this experience. Thank you.

I was going to order online but realized they don't offer refunds or shipping! seems like a flaky business based on the other reviews I checked about this issue as well.No one wants to ship the product to them and not get the refund either LOL!

It is the 50’s style for women that are mostly imported from England where the style still lives. There are initiatives for locally made in Quebec but it’s low quantity.The staff are always helpful. They have been honest on some dresses that don’t fit well and that is appreciated. We appreciate the classic look it provides and values the grace that existed in those days.

Vintage and quirky clothing shop with matching customer service and return policies. Kitch'n Swell brings you back to an era before consumer protection and online shopping. Not that they don't sell online; you just better love your purchase the first time. God forbid you need to return an item or exchange it for a different size. Then you're on the hook for paying the whole value of your purchase in return shipping, and - here's the kicker - to only get store credit. Come to think of it, there are eBay shops from the early 2000s with better return policies.Perhaps it really is our own fault for ordering from a shop so far away. Maybe their online shop just isn't meant for us plebs outside of Montreal.

The fashion and styles they carry are wonderful. Reputable brands that won't fall apart after you wear them once.The staff are incredible. We basically said dress us!" and the girls found stuff that suited us very well. They were friendly

I had a very positive experience at this store. On vacation in Montreal, I visited this store and sales lady brought me styles to try on that I had missed, she even took one right out of a box for me and it didn’t have a tag on it yet. I didn’t buy a dress that day (but I did find perfect jeans) but contacted the business through email about the dress that had no tag on it. The woman I spoke to told arranged for me to buy the dress online and shipped it to me the very same day. When it arrived it was carefully wrapped and the whole experience was effortless. I highly recommend going to this store.
