High Definition Nails & Spa

I have been here a handful of times since last year. I am happy with the service. I usually get Hannah to do my nails dip powder. Last time I got my nails done with dip powder and I chose the nails too long. Two days later they filed them and fixed them up for free. Hannah is a sweetheart and I enjoy her service v much. I am so glad this place is close to my house. V pleased with their service and friendly attitude.

I got a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed over the weekend and I couldn't be happier!They girls did a fantastic job and it was the first time in years I left proud and satisfied with my eyebrow wax!This is my new favourite place!

Went in with my bridal party and got our nails done for my wedding - we were treated so well and the ladies did such a good job! Will definitely go back.

Absolutely amazing work! I went in with a broken nail that happened the previous day. I usually go to a different place in my city and I'm in Ottawa for the week so I decided to get my nail fixes here. They did an amazing job. I will definitely be going back for other services they provide. The ladies that work here all are super friendly and polite and made me feel super welcome.They matched my new nail to my other set absolutely perfect you can barely tell. Highly recommend this location!

Horrible experience- I am writing this review for the owner to be aware and i would hope that this would not happen to another clientmade on line appointment with Kevin 2 days before the day of and when I arrived they did not have my appointment and Kevin was with some one else. I had to show my confirmation 3 times-they cut my nail so short that my toe is sore today. I hope that it does not get infected as for the 2 hours I was there the sinks were not getting rinsed out- assigned staff did not care what so ever and did the minimal work as possible while talking with her team member beside us and watching videos on her cell phone while she should have been focusing on giving some form of a pedicure- I ordered a paraffin wax on my on line booking and I asked 5 times if I wanted this.-assigned staff did not know what she was doing as she kept asking her team member and , she put them on wrong and by the time she got to my left foot the wax had cooled. They tried to hide this by putting towels over my feet.- they proceeded to paint their team member nails and left the wax on for 20 minutes.- when they came back to me the wax had cracked and it took them 15-20 minutes to clean. It was quite the mess. I have had this wax done many times before and if done properly it comes off smoothly and in one piece- they painted my nails and abruptly said 10 minutes and went and had a pedicure themselves. This was the one time I saw the sink rinsed.- after 15 minutes I was ready to go as I had become sooo frustrated with this whole experience I wanted to leave. The team member doing the pedicure on the assigned staff barked at me 7 minutes and rolled her eyes at me- talk about respect.The quality of pedicure that is given to staff and client is worlds apart, with staff members they use way more product and attention than to what I saw to clients. Not a good idea to do this beside a paying client that has already been quite disrespected- went to pay and the visa machine was not working. Was working for the 4 clients that came in after me and were now long gone. I know this as they would ask if they wanted a receipt.I did not have cash only for tip. The staff hid in the back 10 minutes and then another staff asked me if I wanted to wait and I explained I had already been there for 2 hours.as the staff was in the back a line form and a staff member yelled across the room for me- a client to ring the bell for the staff in the back room- yelled in front of other clients and across the room.- when the staff returned he offered me a 10% discount if I paid with cash. I was not going to pay service fees from there ATM so I went to the bankI did not even leave a bad tip- for what being treated this way...Disrespect, rude and need a course in customer serviceone star for the nail color

This is the only nail salon I’ll go to in Ottawa! The ladies are very skilled and friendly. They can always match my nails to the pictures I bring in, or make suggestions to achieve a specific look. Prices are reasonable, appointments are on time. I regularly go in for shellac and have had gel extensions done. Highly recommend!

I wanted to love this place, the atmosphere and service was good. However the nail quality was far from it. Initially I loved my nails, they looked and felt great. (I got dip powder with artificial nails) On the second day, the first nail broke, this was so disappointing but fixable right?! I didn’t have time to come in that week so I waited, but as the days passed, more nails broke and 2 nails even fell clean off like they were loose. One week after getting my nails done, 4 nails had broken between both hands. I got fed up and ripped them off. I personally won’t be coming back here for dip as it seems they don’t have the best quality dip powder and their application technique wasn’t one I was familiar with. Overall, if you’re coming here for something simple I think it’s great but beware if you want your long artificial nails to last. :(

This was my first time getting my nails done! Hanna did an amazing job, and I'm so happy I requested for her to do my nails :) She was very patient and helped me figure out what I needed to get the nails I wanted (first picture), and was helpful when I had questions. I have clubbed thumbs, and she said it was no problem, which was really nice!I don't plan to get my nails done very often, but when I have the occassion to, I'll definitely be coming back!First picture is what I showed her, the second and third are the results!

Hanna made my day with her attention to detail and care for this manicure. Solar Gel Nails with an ombre effect. Hanna and the great staff at High Definition N&S really care about their doing their best, which I appreciate.

If I could put no star, I would have. The pedicurist who did my service rushed through it. I went with a friend and we both had shellac pedicures. Hers last 1hr and 5 minutes, mines was a mere 35 minutes.The polish was too thick and over my skin. Because of it shellac, I cannot take it off without soaking. A 4 year old could have done a better job.I reached out to the salon on 3 occasions to try and rectify, with no response. Terrible service. Terrible business. Will not be back.
