Lovely institution with some amazing staff. I’d also like to thank Mr. Akhilesh Jadhav and Ms. Ayesha Sultana for helping me out so much and being so responsive, which was necessary for me as an international student.

I agree with the most reviews. Sometimes I feel like most people think the same way as I do. Although, you probably won't learn sound engineering on your own. It would take time and effort. I will try to be as objective as possible:1) Location isn't great. Since it's downtown, lots of people with mental issues and bums around the campus. Sometimes it feels unsafe. Plus be ready to be stuck in the traffic if you do commute every day. Facilities might be better considering the amount of costs. There is nowhere to stay if you have breaks in between. Only one student lounge and there is nothing really to do there. It can fill up very quickly. Food choices around the campus aren't that great. Financial Advisor isn't really helpful at all. He says one thing and then another. Schedules can be hectic at times.2) It is true that some of the instructors are very arrogant, condescending and critical of students. They would tell you that the industry is overfilled and you would struggle to get a job. Particularly, it feels like they are a bit jealous that you are kind of stepping on their toes and trying to steal" their job. Sometimes

I attended Trebas Institute for their Audio Engineering & Production Program and just graduated in this past October (2016). There are so many learning experiences you can take with you when you are in the presence of their fantastic instructors, staff and students. And as long as you are confident and dedicated to your craft, working opportunities and collaborative projects are around every corner there!This school offers various labs which are well equipped and maintained for use in and outside of classes regularly. These facilities were absolutely beneficial to me because they offered certain pieces of gear and programs I did not have at home! I used to stay after classes and work on recording my own demos and mixes in the MIDI, ProTools and Post-Production labs.The course curriculum covers a broad variety of job fields in the Audio Industry and involves a lot of assignments! Many of these projects have been integral to the development of professional demo reels and portfolios for students to take with them. And not only that, but the intense workload is a test of how effectively you can manage your time while still delivering a high quality product.If you are seriously passionate about what you do and want to have a career in doing that, you have the capacity to succeed and this school will help you get there. 10/10 would recommend!

Being a mature" student (40) and going back to school after 22 years was no less than a feat in itself. HOWEVER

Received letter of acceptance when school started , I was told I cannot attend to come back in May after already paying registration fee? + documents , transcripts $100+ . School refuses to refund registration fee!

I wish I could go to OIART, but it's too far and I can't relocate. Sometimes it seemed to me that for 20k you get a stand-up show of people who enjoy telling you how great they are and how worthless you are. Sound engineering" program can definitely reduced to a 6 month course. So you don't need to learn about stuff you won't ever use in your career."
