These guys were great from start to finish. I am so glad I went with them. All the employees were super genuinely nice. Were understanding about my mixup with getting the window installed. The price was very reasonable in fact cheaper then other places which jacked the price after the initial quote. Their quote remained consistent. The technicians were prompt, efficient and were respectful of someone sleeping who worked nights! Just pick these guys.

Contacted Glass Guru to install two glass shower doors. We have unique fiberglass one piece tubs making it difficult to install. Glass guru came up with a unique design and installation that is interesting and sleek. Experience with office staff and technicians was first class, friendly and professional. Highly recommend Glass Guru.

The gentleman who came to repair my two windows was very professional, capable and efficient. He did a great job.Dealing with the office was different. I received non logical estimates. I was not updated on delays (it took over 3 weeks between the time I contacted them and the time my windows were fixed). Frankly the service is overpriced. Approx $300 for a window replacement with $50 worth of glass is hard to justify.I was pressed with time and didn’t do due diligence in seeking the better quote. I will rethink the process or do the work myself next time.

Ordered a specialty piece of glass to add to an antique wooden room divider. It turned out better than I could have imagined and it was delivered to my place of business with no issues. Only took a little over a week from the time I ordered. Very friendly and professional service!! Would highly recommend.

Frank came to my house for a free estimate for a leaking basement window. He quickly assessed the issue and told me replacing the window was likely not necessary. He told me everything I have done so far was good and gave some additional suggestions, all for no charge. I really appreciate the honesty and professionalism, not trying to sell me something I did not need. A business with integrity is one worth dealing with in my opinion Although I did not actually use their services, I will definitely go back to Glass Guru next time I do need them!

At the beginning of February I went to open the glass shower door in my ensuite and it fell out but did remain attached to the bottom pivot. I managed to catch it which was fortunate as it weighed a ton. I called SW Calgary Glass Guru and was relieved that they were able to come out the next business day to give me a quote. Frank came with one of his staff to have a look and advised me they would not be able to repair the shower as this door was too heavy to be installed there in the first place . They were so nice to take the door completely off and move it to another room. Frank was able to come up with a solution for a new door and advised he would have his office email me an estimate. It arrived the next day. When the new door arrived I received a call and the installation was booked. Frank and two technicians arrived at the agreed upon time and the door was installed efficiently, the work area cleaned up, and everything completed in about an hour. All the Glass Guru employees I dealt with were knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend SW Calgary Glass Guru!

The Glass Guru repaired my window with existing parts, saving me unnecessary cost. And while he was at it, he performed preventative maintenance on my other window and showed me how to maintain my windows to avoid a recurrence of the issue that I experienced. I definitely recommend The Glass Guru!

We initially contacted the Glass Guru in March of 2021. Frank (the owner) came out and met with us. He seemed pleasant & knowledgable and we decided after receiving his quote to proceed with window glass replacement for 7 foggy windows in our acreage home, hoping to avoid the higher cost of full window replacement.Nothing went right with our job from day one. The Glass Guru work crew were unprofessional, cracking into windows (a total of 3) that were not scheduled to be replaced and causing further damage, requiring some repairs and repainting by us, the homeowner. The crew did not cover our expensive, brand new composite and vinyl decks, leaving glass, broken vinyl and stucco embedded between the deck boards and in the grass, and significant scratches in the composite decking. Furthermore, the work crew caused major cracking to the stucco exterior, which had recently been professionally painted. Frank sent out a “repair man” who did nothing but complain about how we wasted his time, and that we could easily have caulked the crack and repainted ourselves. Additionally, the work crew took it upon themselves to dispose of old glass/vinyl in the rented, large waste bin we had on site for other renovation projects (when glass removal was supposed to be included in the quote), which we were now paying for again, in space taken up in the bin, and dumping charges.After many last-minute cancellations to scheduling, the exterior glass stops seemed to have been an issue in finding a suitable replacement to the vinyl ones which were cracked and broken in the removal process. After several months, there seemed to be no answer other than a cheap wood quarter-round, which would require painting every couple of years, and which had ugly screws through the fronts to hold them in place (or a vinyl option with the same ugly screws through the front) instead of a seamless look, which the original windows had.At this point, we decided to cut our losses and replace the window units completely. We were concerned with the exposure to the elements that water damage could be incurred (now 5 months into the project), and no suitable window stops to be found.Originally, we had paid a 50% deposit up front ($1100+). With the job not completed as expected in the two weeks we were told it would be, nor with the required finished product as we were expecting, we requested a refund of which we were refused. The damage alone to the composite decking and having to pay a parging company to come out and replace the cracked stucco, as well as the painter, not to mention the brand new windows (nor damage done to old windows which we hoped to resell to recoup our costs), is several thousand dollars.At the very least, Frank/Glass Guru should’ve found the replacement stops ahead of removing the old ones so we could’ve made a calculated decision before the project had started. Refunding our deposit in “good faith” for the trouble, time delays, damages, and additional costs incurred, was the very least Frank Lyall at Glass Guru could’ve done.As nice of a guy as Frank is, I would never recommend the Glass Guru for window replacement. I would’ve given them a zero if the review had let me. If you do use them, be prepared to “babysit” the work crew and hold them accountable for professional work ethics during the job, and in the final clean up. Make sure you inspect the final product thoroughly before paying the final invoice.

I had a 45 year old, large picture window that needed to be replaced. Replacing just the glass was the best and most economical solution. The team installed the new glass very quickly and professionally. We love it. We will definitely use The Glass Guru again for future upgrades to our home. We have also recommended them to friends.
