When my mom passed away last week we called Woodlawn and Breanna was so amazing. She made the whole process so easy and comfortable. She was easy to talk to and worked with us to give my mom a beautiful service.

Thinking about contacting a funeral home may be a scary thought, at least for me it was. But I am glad to have made the decision of contacting Woodlawn Funeral Home during a very unfortunate time especially with the obstacle of COVID-19. I have had the pleasure of having Joanna assist me and my family with the utmost compassion and respect. The staff at Woodlawn truly make you feel like you're not in this alone: and feeling alone tends to happen quite often when you have just lost a loved one. There's not enough words to describe how appreciative I am for everything Joanna has done for me, she is truly wonderful.

I can't say enough good things about all the staff at Woodlawn, especially Joanna, she really went above and beyond. Her kindness, sensitivity and thoughtfulness made a very sad process very easy and smooth. We were very grateful and wish for everyone to have as great an experience as we did. HIGHLY recommend!

During this very difficult time of losing a loved one, the last thing I wanted to do was to visit a funeral home. I had been forewarned by people about how much paperwork and forms I would have to fill out and how cumbersome the process would be., Nevertheless, I had no choice, it had to be done. Joanna Neels and the staff at Woodlawn Funeral home provided a professional and personalized graveside and memorial service for our mother and mother in law. Every detail, every question we had and the many preparations that were needed especially during COVID were handled with care and empathy. The facility and staff went above and beyond to ensure that ourselves and our guests could meet in comfort and safety. Joanna is a gifted funeral home director who was quick to fill requests, offer advice and lead us through this difficult time. John made an incredibly difficult time, less painful by walking us through each step. He was compassionate and patient and able to answer our many questions. Grateful for his help during this time. We highly recommend him and his services.

Unfortunately we had to contact Woodlawn regarding our son who passed in a vehicle accident. We don’t live in the area but we had to fly to Vancouver to be with our son. Friends of ours in Abbotsford recommended Woodlawn to us. I contacted the funeral home and spoke with Joanna. Right from our first conversation I knew we were where we needed to be and I trusted Joanna whole heartedly with my boy. From the start Joanna was so professional and caring with our family. Although I worked long distance with staff from Woodlawn Funeral Home, they were very supportive in every way! A lot of information and details were shared via email or phone, which made the process flow nicely. I (we) can rest assured.

Burial not being a usual occurrence for us, Woodlawn staff were very helpful in every area. We had to ship our mother to Ontario, and Carly made every effort to expedite the process. While we were a little surprised at the total bill (two funeral homes & the cemetery), everyone involved in the process went above and beyond.
