My wife recently went to exchange a pair of earrings she received as a gift for volunteering her time to help plan another person’s wedding.Not only was she refused her exchange because she had tried on these earrings (to decide if she wanted to keep them or not), she was verbally accosted by not only a staff member but also by the manager.My 19 week pregnant wife came home in tears from being treated so poorly. As far as I’m concerned, this is unacceptable behaviour from anyone and especially unacceptable from a manager. I’m still considering filing a formal complaint with the store’s owner for this behaviour.

I took my wedding set in to be repaired Dec 12/19. My husband also bought my other band for my ring. All was to be sent out for repair, sizing and soldering. First the rings didn’t go away until the 16th. I had to tweet out about where my rings were in January. Store missed some communication with repair shop. They said it needed to be reshanked an added $400 cost ( we have the lifetime warranty. What a waste). I said fine just wanting my rings back. January 15 still no rings and no ETA. Shop elsewhere!

I would not recommend this company. Save your money and purchase jewelry from a company that stands by their product and by their word. I am so disappointed in the service and will be letting everyone I know of the poor service. From over resizing rings causing diamonds to fall out to head office not standing by the policies staff tells you and the list goes on. Spend your money elsewhere and save yourself from the disappointment of Michael Hill. It's a shame considering the staff in store are so friendly.

We have purchased almost all of our jewelry over the last 10 years from Michael Hill jewelry. The customer service we receive from Donna is second to none; we were so ecstatic to see her at the Bower Place location working as that is our go to lady! She knows her stuff and is always pleasant to deal with.

Do not purchase a engagement ring or wedding band from this place. Worst customer service on the planet. Once they made the sale this whole process has been a nightmare. (There was one nice helpful person). The way the other employees / mangers have treated my fiance and I is completely unacceptable. My fiance was actually in tears when she came home from the store last weekend. Its been 2 months since being engaged and my fiance still does not have the ring I bought her. They said we could be waiting up to another 12 weeks! Absolute joke!

Great service, facemasks required, there is a sign that does not allow face shields as masks. Only 1 person per employee due to size, but moves fairly quickly! - always get the lifetime warranty, cheapest option if you're like me haha!

Picked up silver earrings on sale.. staff so nice to talk too..you always find something to buy yourself.

Amazing experience when in today speaking to Daniel about wedding bands! He then also polished up my engagement ring and made sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed and more. If anyone needs help with finding a ring or jewelry for any occasion I would definitely recommend going to see him!

We went in today to exchange a pair of earrings that had broke. Two fantastic ladies were working who easily found our transaction history and provided amazing customer service. They both were great with my toddler while we sorted things out and despite not having the exact earrings I was replacing, they took the time to make sure I was happy with what I was getting. Really great experience, will be the only place I shop for jewelry! Thanks ladies!

Staff are nice to deal with. But when I went to have my engagement ring sized it was a nightmare. The first time it wasn't a good fit. So I brought it back. They decided it needed to have little bumps" put inside since it was a top heavy ring. So again sent it away for a week and when it was returned no alterations were made. Same size. No bumps inside. So again I sent it away for another week. When it was returned a diamond was missing. I was livid at this point as I was engaged for a month and no one had seen my ring. They finally got it right the third try. But of course I like to bring it in every so often to have it cleaned and they have the option of cleaning in store or sending away for a more in depth clean. So the last time I brought it in I decided to send it away. It was returned to me with a missing diamond. AGAIN. it just blows my mind how this has happened twice. Theres no excuse for it. It should be looked over before even calling me. I have to bring my ring back In now to be resized and I'm rather nervous. Not only is it gone for a week but statistically speaking theres a good chance it will be returned to me without a diamond! If my fiance didn't spend so much money on the lifetime protection plan there's not a chance I would let them touch my ring. I would go somewhere else and pay to have it taken care of properly. There is no way in hell I will be buying my fiances wedding band from this place. Like I said my fiance had a good buying experience with the Staff and they have always been good with me but whoever does the sizing/cleaning of their customers rings needs a good talking to."
