SPECIALIZED INDIVIDUALIZED TRAINING

We did 5 weeks of private training with our miniature Australian shepherd puppy, and the change we saw in him after even just one week was mind blowing. Pam really knows how to read dogs and after our first session it was like she had our pup completely figured out and had a plan set in motion on how to train him (and us!). She taught us and made us aware of things we never would have even thought about, and did a great job at tailoring specific skills to our dog’s strengths. From basic commands like sit and stay, to walking nicely on a leash and playing appropriately with other dogs, Pam has an assertive but VERY positive approach to training and I’m still in awe of how much progress our dog has made because of her. We recommend Pam to anyone looking for a trainer. We are so thankful that we found her and will be keeping her as our trainer for as long as we can.

Thank you Pam! We have a 5 year old rescue pit bull mutt who can be reactive with other dogs, and occasionally people. Thanks to Pam's guidance, our lives, and the life of our dog has improved greatly! She worked with us over 5 sessions to help us understand our dog, her reactions, and how to correct her behaviour. We learned so much each session and have developed a much deeper understanding of our dog, and how we can help her be her best self. I really loved that she worked with myself and my partner to teach us how to train our dog, instead of doing all the work for us. Pam worked with us on basic commands, how to effectively correct behaviours, recall, socialization, dog aggression, walking on leash, and how to advocate for our dog, just to name a few! We first connected with Pam for help with our 18 month old dog Frankie who can be anxious and reactive towards other dogs. We started with five individualized training sessions during which Pam transformed his behaviour and how we work with him. She helped us better understand, predict and correct his behaviour.We have since gone on to take two different group classes with Pam. Both were great experiences. Pam is a great resource and we will be continuing to use her training services.

Looking back to where we started with our rescue and terrier mix Oskar to where we are today, I‘m truly amazed. We’ve done the 5-week-training with Pam and attended socialization classes. The insights that we gained into dog behaviour are priceless and the progress Oskar has made through the instructions not only boosted his confidence. I highly recommend Pam with her professional, clear and sorry but ‚no BS attitude‘. I‘m always in awe how well trained all the dogs in her care are. We had five individualized training sessions with Pam and we could not be happier with the outcome. Our 3 year old rough collie Marlo is a very sensitive and smart dog and he can be reactive at times while out on walks. Pam helped build our confidence as strong leaders for Marlo and enabled us to provide him with the structure he needed to trust us and better control his impulses. Pam is firm but kind, it is clear she loves her job and is extremely knowledgeable.We will definitely be going back to Pam for future training/ tune ups!

I was having trouble with my Dog and his aggression. He was incredibly territorial and possessive over my family members and my other dog. I didn't know where to turn. I got into contact with Pam and she came right to my house and assessed my dog and came up with a plan and as stubborn as my pup is within days of working with Pam his attitude and his whole demeanor changed. She gave me the tools I needed to continue the work at home with him one on one and months later he's the best dog. He is happy and playful, his aggression is gone and he follows commands flawlessly. I couldn't be more grateful for Pam and her absolute passion and love for animals that helped my dog become the dog he wanted to be and to let go of all his worked up aggression!

I cannot say enough positive things about Pam. She was so patient with my big anxious boy and more importantly, she trained me in how to respond and guide him through his anxiety. The improvements I've seen since our first session are incredible.I now have the confidence to advocate for my dog, guide him through stressful situations, and look for cues to ensure success.Pam made sure to provide instruction, feedback, and solutions. On our last session, I was able to walk with Riley through Canadian Tire and a Pet Store with confidence. I was fortunate to connect with Pam Owen when I was looking for a puppy Obedience Class. She provided us with many strategies so that we would learn to become good strong leaders to our new puppies. Her enthusiasm and passion in her work is contagious.Mickey and I have continued training with Pam working on calm leash walks, sitting, staying and recall to mention a few. She teaches us how to be kind but firm.
