I think Civida is amazing!!!They maintain my unit well- whenever I have an issue someone comes and fixes it right away.My place is really nice.I am so grateful for Civida.

3309 - 106 Ave. In Rundlen Area always has big house parties. Fights are always breaking out their. City police are always going over to her house Shawna Roasting place. I find it unsafe to raise children that live close to her.

So I live at Civida housing and wow I am amazed by the service they give!! Like best service for the fact that ppl only pay a portion of the rent!! Yet most companies that make millions of dollars cant even do anything for customers or clients, we call about a concern and they have someone out there in a day or 2 sometimes even the same day! They installed a new furnace all paid for by the housing corporation, the ppl who come in to do repairs are always friendly! They take our concerns very seriously and that is amazing!! Super happy with the service they give.

They offer the RAB / TRAB programme. Definitely helpful. I just don't understand the point scoring system. I'm close to being homeless again and my point score is only 4. Probably because I am a single MALE not fleeing a domestic case.

It is unbelievable how long rent subsidy is taking. Well over a year now, and keep getting bumped to lesser on the list because just a single mom, paying rent, (+food+everything else) with no drama in life, just taking care of kid. Renters in crisis keep taking precedence and at this rate, it'll be when the child turns 18 and renter no longer qualifies as a single mom...then help will be offered!? Really wonder if Civida is government contracted to provide housing. If so, where's the tax paying dollars going for Canadian-Albertan who paid taxes in this country all of our life? Who keeps getting to the top of the list?!

These guys r the absolute worst it’s now been 3 yes 3 weeks of me calling to get both of my doors fixed for the 7th time and every time I call I’m told to call back no one wants to help me so for 3 weeks the same two doors the so called fixed already 7 times I can’t use so my home stays unlocked at all times when I leave when I’m home it’s terrible

March 27, 2023So civida is denying seniors in a building originally designated as such. Medical treatment and homecare services. Because they changed the door hours to 5pm from 9pm. Not caring about contactless entry. they refuse to move the intercom outside...which would include all residents. Like was done at central manor over 3 years ago. Instead they keep excluding seniors and disabled from enjoying their home.This is discrimination.Nov 20, 2021So a manager of civida has retaliated, her staff sent a letter, that there are false allegations about the way they treat tenant's. And they are going to evict a disabled indigenous senior who was kidnapped by the Alberta government when she was 4. Who has lived here for 22 years. myself who is an exhausted unpaid caregiver. I was assaulted by a tenant on may 5, 2021 who civida never evicted. Dispite video evidence and charges against other tenant, plus 5 files for breeching no contact. Mind you this compliance department had to pretend they have a substantial breech, meanwhile people are smoking in a non-smoking building.So after a week they still haven't adjusted the timer, during a pandemic I have to open the door, I can't redt even though I'm exhausted from looking after my mom from 8am now to 10pm 24/7.I guess a woman with stage 4 cancer, fibromyalgia and other health issues is supposed to put up with more stress and abuse from Civida.I haven't gotten any letters other than a threat to being evicted.The publicly funded organization seems to harass people if they send in concerns. human rights and other agencies are getting involved. Civida I have zero tolerance for abuse and mismanagement.Door still not fixed after months, back door sounds like the grim reapers crypt. Timer not adjusted even though technician was here, he wasn't given any directions. Unsafe access to garbage bin after 6 days. The list is extensive.Update Nov 2021With no notice they have changed the time the front door is locked, now the intercom is not accessible. They expect disabled people to go to the door and let nursing staff inside. Well if they could accomplish such feats easily they wouldn't need nurses. This exposes us to germs, covid and has now taken away a convience/need, that is part of our basic building services. Claiming safety reasons, but can't be bothered to give us back the cameras we had used to see who is at the door.Yet our twin building down the street that was taken away from civida has put the intercom outside. For convenience of ambulance, nurses. Guests.Also central manors lobby is so clean and well presented unlike ours, with neglected walls and disgusting stained carpet. Bikes enticing thieves.Odd how they can figure out reasonable options for an identical building. Mind you we are now forced to pay extra for power. With no metering. Had our cable bundle taken away. These were all included in our rent. The doors needed replacing about 5 years ago. But surprisingly we are the only central location without new doors. The staff is mouthy and condescending. The managers think they are superior to tenants. The so called non-smoking building literally stinks of cigarette smoke. I added the picture of the new intercom system at central manor.Oct. 2021Literally the most vile customer service and management. They don't investigate abuses and when 3 home invasions happen in less than a week. Claim no responsibility. Considering the security cameras have been broken for at least 5 years. Homeless dumping all the garbage on the lawn and either doing drugs or dealing drugs in vestibule. Repairs don't happen in a timely manner and the property managers yell at you and belittle you. But if you stand up or complain this is never reviewed as there is so much conflicts of interest, as they stick up for their bro instead of doing their jobs. This is how they treat seniors. I wish I could share the videos. Smoking in non-smoking building
