West End United Baptist Church

Very friendly

West end is a beautiful 100+ year old wooden church in the west ( nearly South) end of Halifax. The congregation are very warm and welcoming. They welcomed me with open arms a couple years ago and I am so happy I came to West End. Pastor Tima and his family and Kym our youth minister in training are incredible people. They are funny, fun, high energy, caring , down to earth people and have been like family to me from the day I first met them. They have great preaching, wonderful music ministry and the coffee is always on in the church just across the hallway from the sanctuary. They is right now two weekly Bible studies, a young kids group and an older kids group weekly and weekly conversation English as a second language course. If you are looking for a church to come to I highly recommend West End. God bless

What a beautiful old building - the kind where you can smell the old wood. Went here, actually, to look at some old doors and the people were so friendly and accomodating. This building is huge and seems like a real gem for people to gather in.
