REVIEW FOR AMERICANSService: The service is not Ameican/Canadian. They are blunt and straight to the point. When there was a line of people waiting, they removed people from the restaurant that were no longer eating to make more room. The upside is that the wait isn't long if you are going, but it can be disheartening if you are told to leave. Just know that it's not personal and the place is always busy so the staff do what they have to do! The staff also speak English, Chinese/Cantonese, and French. The menu is in French/English but still understandable if you don't know any French because I don't know any and could read it fine. There is also an English version online.Food: The food is a hit or miss for people who do not have a history with authentic Cantonese/Chinese food, my my tip is to go with something you know will be good. Out of my family of 4, I was the only one who was very happy. The dishes that were not such a success were fried rice with 2 sauces, beef with vegetables, and Cantonese (fried) chow mein. I had the chicken fried rice and it was absolutely deliciousssss!!! The salt amount was perfect, the base flavour was amazing, and the chicken had a very good flavor and texture (it was soft and not tough or overcooked) Definitely recommend!!!Price: The pricing was very good, 10-15 usd for most dishes, can be more for the fancier dishesOverall: Don't freak out if the staff are frank with you and go with what you know will be good. The food is authentic (and really good) and I would definitely urge you to give this place a chance.

I recommend this restaurant specially for late-night dinner. We had our Lunar New year dinner over here. Their dinner set has different kinds of seafood (abalone, lobster, scallop, etc.), it might not be the best place for fresh seafood, but is a nice place to gather big group of people.

Believe it or not, this place has not changed in the last 20 years!I’ve been going to Keung Kee since my college days, well over 20 years ago. I can honestly say that the food here has been consistently delicious, and portion generous, price reasonable. Staff are not particularly friendly but very efficient! The quality of their dishes is top notch, fresh, hearty, authentic Cantonese food that stands out from their competitors. I no longer live in Montreal, but whenever I come back to visit, I almost always stop by this restaurant, and they never disappoint me!Tips: best dishes are the ones written on the wall in Chinese ^_^Highly recommend!

We went in for lunch because it looked packed from outside. As I sitting down, I saw most customers are non Chinese people. Food is below average for a Cantonese restaurant. Nevertheless they were very busy on good Friday afternoon when we were there. Restroom was dirty but usable.

Restaurant has a lot of great Chinese options to pick. They offer complimentary starter with a pork-based broth. Food is good and service is quick! I really like the stirred fried Japanese tofu with veggies. The hot tea will offset the taste of oil. Restaurant can be packed at dinner time and weekends, so plan ahead for 15 to 20 mins wait.

The food here was fantastic! The dinner started off with a complimentary soup. The shrimp with lobster sauce was my favourite. But a close second was the general tao chicken. It wasn't exactly spicy, but it was flavourful enough that it didn't need to be spicy to be good. I would also like to commend them on the speed. I didn't time it, but I think the first dish came out in less than 5 minutes. And all 5 dishes that I ordered were out in under 10 minutes.I would recommend that some of the chairs be replaced because the pleather was ripping off from many of the seats so it made the restaurant look kinda ghetto.

Good Chinese dinner with space for 10 people in our party. Some of our friends arrived 30 minutes after our reservation time, but the waiters were understanding. Good Chinese dinner - excellent eggplant, and tofu with greens, and the 1/2 chicken with ginger and green onion was excellent!
