Great trail. Lots of rocks and roots hence a moderate hike. Connects to Waterdown.

Great mix of views and up and down elevation when taking this trail to Smokey Hollow Waterfall. Sections are very icy right now.

Great spot to get some air. Early mornings is the best time to spot dear. King rd access from north service rd best option due to road closure. Other wildlife spotted weasels ,woodpeckers and salamanders.

Friendship Loop Trail is a must-visit hiking trail for anyone who is seeking for a moderate, stunning and serene outdoor experience. The trailhead is easily accessible, and the path is well-marked, making it ideal for beginners who want to challenge themselves or advanced hikers who simply want to enjoy nature. The moderate difficulty level of the trail is due to some steep inclines and rocky areas; however, most of the path is relatively flat and well-maintained.The trail provides hikers with stunning scenic views. Along the way, you'll be able to hear the soothing sound of the chirping of birds, adding to the serene beauty of the area. The route is dog-friendly and we loved hiking with our furry friends. We saw many other hikers with dogs on the trail that day which was exciting to see. The trail is also suitable for kids, with enough diversity in terrain to keep them interested and engaged for the entire duration of the hike.In terms of amenities, there were ample parking spots at the trailhead. However, there are no shops or stores along the trail, so make sure to pack enough food, water, and any other necessary supplies before setting off.Overall, Friendship Loop Trail offers an enjoyable and rewarding hike through some of the most stunning natural landscapes in Burlington. It's definitely worth a visit, and we'll certainly be back again!

I have been coming here for years, and it has always been one of the only quiet places I can go for a hike in the area. Recently it has gotten extremely busy, busier than I have ever seen it. While I’m happy that more people are able to enjoy this beautiful spot, I am saddened and disappointed to see it destroyed more and more each time I go. There is garbage left along the trail, which I had never seen in the past, people are breaking glass, and just recently somebody horribly spray painted several rocks along the trail and a beautiful log. It’s upsetting to see that this beautiful spot is being destroyed by careless people. PLEASE do not come here if you are not going to respect it. I can only hope next time someone is around to catch you guys when you do this stuff...

A great place hidden away on King Rd. There are plenty of beautiful views of the city of Burlington and Hamilton.Lots of rocks, tree roots and uneven ground, so be aware of footing when walking on the trail. Place is generally busy but you can maintain safe distance quite easily.Good place for a hike, cycling, running or walking your dog. Be aware of lots of mosquitoes and the potential for ticks. So wear proper clothing here (long sleeves and pants).
