M Models and Talent | Toronto Modeling and Acting Agency

My name is Stephanie and I signed up with MModels in 2018 and after my third audition I landed my first TV Commercial job and it was a great experience. However I was not following up with updating my profile and was not showing interest because of College I was not getting auditions. This agency is one of the best compare to the other one I am currently with and that is Max Agency. This agency is very professional---I had many auditions with MModels it's just that I was not showing interest.

I joined them 10 years ago. I have tried signing in with other agents but no one is like M Models. I joined another agency last year paid over 1300 and didn’t land one audition in one year. At least with M models I had tons of auditions and I know exactly what’s going on. They also have been paying for my head shots for over 10 years. Trust me when I say this is the right agency to join ….

**PLEASE READ IN ENTIRETY**I never get on google to write reviews , but this is a review I feel I need to post in order to warn others to not end up in a situation like me. I was signed to this agency in 2020. I went through the entire interview process with my parents ( I was 17) and paid their $339 “administration” fee. I was very excited to model for an agency for the first time. Unfortunately, all email communication stopped once I paid for their expensive company headshots. I was never actually put on their paying their administration fee and their headshot fee. And three years later , I have never received a single casting call or another email from my “agent”. I forgot about this agency as I eventually got signed to ICON and I love it over there. But I randomly remembered this agency this morning and called thier office to see if naturally I could get my refund on the administration fee because technically , it was a scam if they actually never did any administration on my account via submitting me for casting calls. In which the male agent who answered the phone got extremely rude and defensive with me , told me he would put me in touch with his lawyers for even reaching out to try to get my money back, and when I simply asked for proof of my submissions to castings , he hung up on me. I’ll personally be going into the office soon myself once I’m back in Toronto to sort all of this out , as I will not be bullied by any agency over the phone , but for new “clients” , beware. Don’t put yourself through unnecessary trauma with this agency.Update ,I revoked my consent electronically to be contacted by this agency as it has now become a case of harassment and I’ve had another call back by the same agent threatening to “tear me apart” and “ruin my reputation” after leaving the first review. The entire conversation was recorded in case I need to pass it along to the authorities. Very scary, horrible agency. New models , please beware.Another Update (since I cannot respond to the comment below via google reviews)This is not a false claim,Just take a look at the other one star reviews who had the exact same experiences as me with this agency. That is all the proof you need to see. As an agency , it is your responsibility to keep the client updated about which castings they are being submitted and approved for. I have not received a single comprehensive report of any of the 63 castings that I was allegedly submitted for until I had enough today (3 years later) and asked them what was going on with my account, in which I was harassed and threatened over the phone instead of receiving the report I requested. I did not contact the agency over this time period because I was told to be “patient” and to wait for casting calls to be sent to my emails , which they never were. I trusted this agency , and I invested $500 into headshots and their sign on fee. This is all money that was lost to me as this agency never submitted me for any casting calls. Again. Beware.

I went to 6 agencies the past 1 week and every agency tried to charge me close to 900-1500 dollars . Some tried to sell me courses others tried to sell me portfolios. M models was the only agency didn’t sell anything to me. After doing so much research I decided to go with them. These guys land so much work compared to other agents. I found that there was so much false information on them . One of the false information was their pictures are not professional shots after going over a 1000 post and seeing hundreds of jobs being landed . I came to a conclusion these guys are the right agency to pick and they are spending a lot of money on the portfolios . Just knock on every agencies door and see the difference when it comes to investing in their talent and amount of work being landed . I have been with all the high fashion agencies in Toronto , LA , New York . I am 38 now and decided to join M Models last year after moving from back from LA, and believe me the difference was these guys did life style modeling and it’s the first time I didn’t have to pay for a portfolio . They have been accommodating with me and I am blessed to be apart of the team.

Met a few agencies before going ahead with M Models & Talents, must say these guys are the only ones who are not in the game only to grab money by making you to go with their panel of photographers and all. Did my initial stills and always there to do more.I just landed my first project for a tv series and shout out to Sean for making it a great experience.. looking forward to more auditions and projects.

I joined Mmodels approximately two years ago and I have to say that I have been very satisfied. You are constantly being submitted to projects and thus being able to grow your experience as a model when the opportunity comes to work with certain companies. The staff is very accommodating and ensures that you feel safe and respected in any situation. I am very happy to be a part of this amazing agency.

I am use to going in person for auditions but the time I save is a huge advantage for me as nonunion actor. It’s been 7 months since I am with M Models and the process is amazing. They are really good people to work with.

This is a money grab. I'm sure they help some talent with landing jobs and making money, but they seem to be a money grab. Bring in talent, charge for cards (who even uses cards anymore) then send an email to say you have been submitted for a job. When asked for a review of jobs submitted for I received a very vague reply about not all jobs are in the system. I believe we were submitted for roughly 20 jobs over 3 years and never once were we offered or told about the free" acting/audition classes. If you are new please move 9n

My daughters with this agency currently. The agents are great to work with and their communication skills are really good. The best agency we have worked with.
