Thornhill Recycling Depot
Take metal, cardboard, plastic and white styrofoam. They also sell replacement green and blue bins you can exchange up to 3 damaged Markham ones for a flat fee of 5.50. They have summer and winter operating hours. So keep that in mind when going.

Very friendly and community oriented recycling depot located in the parking lot of Thornhill Community Center. An attendant helps you sort all your recycling. Honestly this service was a life saver for all the recycling accumulated after our move.

Easy dropoff. They have 2 lanes for cars to drive up. You park and get out to drop off your assorted recyclables into the designated bins/bags and that's it! Fast and easy. Much appreciated.

Thank You! this depot has been here for many years and the hours are posted on the door.they accept most recyclables and havea stack of reclaimed books for customers to take from. there is also a goodwill next door for donations. it is so important to recycle household waste when possible and this depot located on green lane and bayview make it possible, i dont even know where there is another depot like this ? thanks again for your yearsof service and best of luck in the future.

Terrible hours, especially for people who work a M-F, 9-5 job. I can't begin to count the number of times we have gone here only to find it's closed. According to the website there is no day they are open continuously without closing for a while and they are closed on Friday, Sunday, and Mondays and close early on Saturdays at 4. I would think these are the most popular times for people to drop off waste materials. I would give one star, but the staff at least are pleasant.

Always friendly and helpful staff. Best place to recycle plastic bags, styrofoam food containers, and just about anything else except hazardous waste. They even take donations of good condition household goods.
