Pacific Angler Fishing Charters - Salmon Fishing

On July 7 ,2023 a friend and myself took a fishing charter with Pacific Angler. The booking person was Kathryn and our guide was Dezai.We were taken to the Bowen Island area and within ten minutes we had the first Coho on. The fishing was absolutely outstanding, 15 Salmon on the line for the day. The gear was top notch and the day was perfect.I would like to thank Pacific Angler and Dezai for being completely knowledgeable and professional in all ways. Dezai's knowledge of the waters and fishing methods was spot on. He was absolutely personable and helpful and gave us a wonderful day.Hats off the the entire Pacific Angler operation.Norm Nelson

My wife and I just celebrated our anniversary out on an 8hr guide with pacific angler this past weekend; I cannot give enough Praise to the team at Pacific Anglers. Kathryn made the booking and trip organization super easy and straight forward for us. In the morning, we met Captain Eddie at the dock and I'm pretty sure I was beaming in excitement when I saw the beautiful fully decked out Grady White we would be taking for the day. Capt Eddie was absolutely fantastic! Not only was he a super knowledgeable fisherman but also very much a people person. He was willing to teach us anything we wanted about fishing in general but also about boating and water safety. He made special attention to make sure my Wife was comfortable at all times as she is 4months pregnant. We dropped our crab traps then made the crossing over to thraser rock. We got into some fish but Eddie's experience and instincts gave the gut feeling that better fishing was to be had out at the trench near nanaimo, so we picked up our lines and headed for it. We barely had our lines in for 5 minutes and the fish started hitting like crazy, and they were great sized fish!! After making the trip back across the straight we retrieved our crab traps and boy were they full! We both limited out on crabs which made for a wonderful finish to a spectacular day on the water. I can't thank Captain Eddie, Kathryn and the rest of the team at Pacific Anglers enough for making it such a memorable experience. We will be back for another charter (probably quite a few lol) I know these reviews can help guide you on which company to use (it did for us) so believe me when I say this is the charter company you want to go on.

Absolutely awesome! Our guide Josh was an unreal host, he made sure everyone was looked after and found us lots of fish. He even got us a couple double headers. As for booking, Kathryn was all over it. Super organized and quick to respond. Thank you.

We had an amazing time with Pacific Angler Fishing Charters. The captain was a positive, nice guy who was great with our kids. They went out of of their way to answer our questions before hand and help us with our catch after. Highly recommend!

Me and my son booked a fishing trip with Lee and from the beginning I knew it was the right choice to book this trip with Pacific Angler Fishing.Lee is very professional and very knowledgeable fun guy, he explain everything up to the last detail email me all the info and the day before the trip he call me at 7:30 pm to verify that we are coming and to go over everything again to make sure we have all the info that we need.On the day of the trip first thing in the morning we met our awesome guide Tom super friendly easy going guy very knowledgeable and throughout the day he was still the same awesome guy that we met in the morning me and my son had a great time with Tom we got a big 86cm Lincgod, 2 Rock Fish and 3 big salmon.We definitely will be coming back for another fishing trip with Pacific Angler Fishing and especially with Tom.We are highly recommended to book a trip with Pacific Angler Fishing.Thanks guys for the awesome experience.

Travelled to Vancouver from Halifax for a week. We travelled through whistler and surrounding areas before heading back to spend two nights in Vancouver. Hands down our fishing trip with pacific angler was our favourite part out of everything we did! Dezai was our guide and made us feel comfortable and was no time finding the fish for us. We caught around 15 salmon total and also caught crabs in a trap we set on the way out! All of the guides had successful trips that day but I highly recommend asking for Dezai!

Excellent family experience with Captain Jake! My family of four was having a short vacation in Vancouver decided to book a full day, salmon and spot prawn charter with a Pacific Angler which turned out to be a great decision. Jake was absolutely fantastic, a very personable and outgoing young man, who made all of us feel comfortable and gave the right amount of education and direction. We dropped some spot prawn nets and then started fishing and were landing salmon within 15 minutes of having our lines in the water.By the end of the day we had landed a lot of salmon, kept two nice ones and did very well with the prawn traps and kept over 100 nice ones. Overall we can’t say enough good things about Pacific Angler and our captain Jake!

Great day. Had a peeler within five minutes, didn’t even have the spread set yet, and the action was fairly constant all day. Ended up with 2 chinooks (harvested), 4 cohos (released) and 1 dog. Had a double header on the cohos. Sockeyes were airing out all day around us which made for a nice environment.I was rolling solo coming with zero experience salmon fishing. Jake, my guide took the time to teach me a ton about this type of fishing, let me get involved with setting the spread, teaching me about setting up the rigs and bait presentation, and provided a very good understanding of the various species and their habits. Bonus was giving me some great restaurant recommendations and future bucket list fishing trip ideas for Canada.Would highly recommend these guys. Boat was clean, tackle was immaculate and organized, which are the very first things I look at when stepping on the boat. I knew before we left the dock, we’d be in position to catch.

I booked a five hour trip as a surprise for my partner’s 30th birthday and it was amazing! Communication with Kathryn to coordinate booking was easy and she was very friendly and accommodating- excellent customer service! The day of, it was quite easy to find the place with the directions provided. Our guide Josh was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us an incredible fishing experience! Half of us had fishing experience but the other half not so much. Josh made everyone feel included and was on top of everything. He also had great knowledge of the area as he was born and raised nearby. I’m sure on a slower fishing day he could have spoke about a lot more but we honestly didn’t have more than a ten minute lull. We maxed out on our take home (2 per person). Coordinating getting the fish sent back to us was also very easy. Everyone in our group had a great time! I should also say they we felt very safe to whole time as well. 10/10 recommend! I would even book this again at a different time of year so we could catch / take home different salmon species.
