The staff at this centre are exceptional and work with not only your child but with the entire family. I would highly recommend this day treatment program for any family in the York Region who is struggling with a child or youth with mental health issues. We were helped tremendously and we continue to use the strategies we have learned.

Did not rly like it the teacher talk when your trying to do your work expand is vary annoying and and who ever says my child is better because of this school" dose not know how bad it is some time and they should be in that school for 3 months and u tell me if u like it or not"

I went here more than 20 years ago, lol! My teacher was Matt. People I remember:Teachers/workers; Marcel, Heather, Laurel, Matt, Jamie.Students; Alex, Candice, Chris Mattson (still know him), Jordan (this guy is dating my best friend and is extremely aggressive and abusive, and unfortunately she won't do anything about it and won't let anyone help her) Matt, Amanda and I can't remember anyone else.If someone can help me get Alex's last name so I can reconnect with him, that would be great! But I bet all the records are long gone by now...I wonder if they still have a points system for good behaviour!

I want to say that in this place they offered me a lot of help and support that my family needed. Laurie, Carla and Romina have been fantastic. I recommend it to anyone who needs help.

I went to the York Centre in the 80's, and I miss Bob Upper. He was the child youth worker. He made it fun, and played the Game sorry and Uno with me and other students. :) :)

The York Centre has been so important as we navigate the waters of mental illness with our son. The people there are genuine and kind and they relate to the kids very well. They have continued to be there for my family when we need them, even after our son was discharged. An incredible well-kept secret!
