Old world cobbler.

I posted this review on Yelp as well, but I figured I would bring it to Google to spread the word.Alex is awesome, and works actual miracles. I brought two pairs of boots to him, one of which was a more straightforward zipper fix, and one which turned into a bear of a project (I had brutally abused a pair of boots in my twenties, and had always regretted it but never took them in to get fixed, so the damage wasn’t clear to us until he started to fix them). Alex literally brought my boots back from the dead, and he was great to work with.As a non-Minnesotan, I appreciate Alex’s straightforward nature. He tells you his wait time (it’s extensive--he’s a craftsman in high demand, and shoe repair is tough on the hands) right up front, and he tells you the price immediately. He won’t coddle you, but he will be honest and work with integrity. When my boots needed way more work than expected, he refused my offer of more pay—I had agreed on a price, and he “only makes customers pay once.”Don’t expect speed, but do expect excellent service and skilled work.

Alex is my guy! He repaired the ripped sleeve on my leather jacket flawlessly, restored the leather and even repaired the lining. He was upfront about timeline, reasonable with pricing and finished earlier than predicted!

This is a fantastic find for me. I found some shoes at goodwill that needed a little TLC. I found this place online and communication was fantastic and the shoes were turned around so quick! Absolutely will go again once I need some more repairs done!

First time going here to get a heel repair on a shoe and I will absolutely be going back. The work was fantastic but Alex was also a super cool dude. Alex set expectations based off how busy he was at the time which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this place for any shoe repairs. I mean, the photos speak for themselves!

Alex runs a busy shop, and for good reason. His work is exceptional. I brought in an expensive pair of leather dress shoes which had suffered a major gash from a metal door opening across my foot. The shoes I got back looked better than they did before, repaired and polished. Pricing is very fair. Super nice guy.

I keep taking my shoes for different kind of reparations and they always make an incredible job!Plus Alex is always very nice and explains everything he’s going to do with your shoes and make sure you’re ok with his idea so you’re in the same page. Very professional and helpful!

I brought some boots here to be resoled. He not only resoled it them, but use a Vibram sole, which will last years. And he did a beautiful job! Because his work is top-notch, he's very busy. Have patience. The wait is worth it.

Alex repaired and reinforced my camel leather side pouch. His craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. He completed the work in the timeframe clearly communicated upfront.  Really great work. Completely satisfied.Was not cheap, but why should it be? It's our responsibility to keep these types of old world specialty shops in business. Thank you!
