MacKenzie's Towing & Service Centre

Every time I've either locked myself out of a car or the battery's died, they are always timely in arriving to help. The make the process easy going through CAA and I know I can depend on them!

My vehicle got stuck in some mud on the shoulder of a road so I called the car manufacturer for roadside assistance and they were helpful and advised that MacKenzies towing would be out in less than 45 min but likely sooner because they didn’t seem to busy. I was told someone from the tow operator would contact me to confirm in the next few minutes but I never received a call.After an hour, I called MacKenzie’s directly but only reached their answering service. They offered to send another request to dispatch but strangely said they had no way to check on the stats of the original dispatch.I called roadside assistance again and they agreed that was odd, so they called MacKenzie themselves to follow up and were told the tow would arrive in less than 29 minutes. I waited another 40 minutes with no sign of a tow and no phone call and roadside assistance called me back to find out if they had arrived. I explained they hadn’t and although they apologized profusely and offered to have the contract with this operator reviewed, there wasn’t anything they could do to get a tow to show up sooner.At this point, I had already missed half of a sports competition my daughters were taking part in, so the roadside service rep told me to go inside and when the tow operator arrived they would either call me or call them to ask for payment because they couldn’t find me and had shown up and at that point he would call me to go outside.I ended up getting a drive to Canadian tire to buy a tow rope and pulling the car out myself which costs $20 and took 5 min. I didn’t call to cancel the tow, but here it is 5 hours since they were supposed to be here and nobody has shown up or called yet.Horrible service and horrible customer experience with no ability to follow on calls.

Driver saw me wave him down but decided to turn around and drive away, then the dispatcher was extremely rude and raised her voice at me once we were trying to figure out payment due to a mistake on my end as it was the first time I've had a car towed. Unprofessional, rude, and inpatient. Ill be calling a different company next time.

They were so helpful, they recommended their other shop for my exhaust fix and it was so quick and reasonably priced. Very happy.

Ironic that there are laws to protect your drivers from getting injured by cars while working but yet those same drivers will speed through a crosswalk with someone waiting to cross, with plenty of time and space to stop, and then proceed to flip the pedestrian off.

Very poor, poor customer service. Drivers are rude, and the office workers even worse. I would rather push my car home then use this service again!

Literally highway robbery this place is - my keys got locked in my car with my kid in it and they had the nerve to charge me almost $100 to get him out. Apparently word on the street is that they charge an arm and a leg because they help out TPD

I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff here! Not only did they rescue me on a Friday afternoon but also fixed my car so I could continue on my way! From the office manager to the drivers and mechanics…everyone provided the best service! Highly recommend!
