Bearbrook Golf Club

They are working hard to keep the course in shape .No 9 hole rate is disappointing though . Unless you are retired or wfh, it's not easy to play 18 during the week

Price was right. Course was well kept. My only negative would be the friendliness " of the staff member at the front counter."

In a last minute to golf the night before, Bearbrook had some available tee times. Despite the dry summer the course was green but with some dry patches on a few fairways.Green fees are reasonable but the power carts are pricey, however, I'm not an owner and I'm sure they have to make up for the loss during the extreme heat.Staff was accommodating and polite.I don't mind the fairways being a bit hard (like the bounce & extra yards) but tee boxes and greens should be the greenest.

Very dissapointed. Don't go on weekends. They don't have any carts available and even then, they overbook. It took us an hour to do 2 holes. There were seven people waiting for the second hole by the time we gave up and decided to cut our losses and go to a different golf course for the day. But what do you expect this golf course dosent have any Marshall's.Also the girl at the cash doesn't speak French and is proud about it for whatever reason. She also said the manager would get back to us and they never did.

2023 update... great conditions... Karen has been a lovely greeter when she is on and Sylvie and Thomas are wonderful when Karen is off.. come out and enjoy this gem of a golf course... The course is in the best shape ever...This is my favorite golf course as it's a great deal walking the folks who work and play there are very nice.... the course has a good layout... it is a natural course so if it hasn't rained much the ground is hard and the ball really bounces a long way down the fairway... there is an island green and there are a few holes where you have to have a good shot to get over creeks.... the 18th hole is a long tree lined hit up a hill... tough to get on... ⛳

Where do i start...the front desk lady was completely unprofessional and rude, the course is in terrible condition. The layout of course is brutal and not identified well at all. While trying to retrieve a golf ball the owner decided to mount his truck onto the course and come take our golf cart keys. Letting us know we dont need people like you here"

I was taken here with 2 friends in order to practice golf on a real course. Unfortunately the operator turned all 3 of us away because as a new player I did not come with my own complete set of clubs and golf bag.i understand that groups inexperienced players like myself can slow down other players. but disallowing anyone who has not yet spent hundreds on golf equipment feels like a reachLeniency for new players trying golf is essential to the sports sustained growth. I would understand this exclusive attitude at a higher end course, but at bearbrook?

New golfer here, only played 4 times in my life so take this review with a grain of salt.The course was in rough shape, the fairway is essentially non-existent. They seem to cut the fairway and the rough the same way, leading to it being either too long for a fairway, or too short for a rough.There were lots of patches throughout the fairway, and some that weren't even patched. Patch in the sense of 2-3foot diameter patches, and some parts where it was sand (not like a bunker, just a 2-3foot diameter that hasn't been patched.)The greens are rough, there is no structure to them, and it's very hard to see if where you are supposed to send ball half the time. The greens are also very wavy, more than other greens that I have been too. (which isn't a lot).At one point during our game, we noticed a pick-up truck that was driving somewhat close to the golf-course, we thought maybe someone was lost and took a wrong turn, but no. THIS MAN JUST STRAIGHT UP DROVE OVER THE PUTTING GREEN WITHOUT A HESITATION IN HIS MIND. We thought maybe it was a mistake, maybe he was really lost, BUT WE SAW HIM DRIVING ON ANOTHER GREEN 3 HOLES LATER! There was no way this man did it twice on accident, either this person was an employee trying to scout around, or possibly another player who is tired of the high cart fees at golf courses and decided that his truck works just fine.

The worst course in the Ottawa area. The course is always in terrible shape, you're always backed up on the 1st tee box by at least 20 minutes and the customer service is horrendous.There is some European lady who works there and is the absolute worst.I showed up to golf with my 4-year-old - his first experience on a golf course. He wasn't playing at all, just watching with me.We showed up and they had no more golf carts available. That's unimaginable to me. They suggest that you reserve your cart in advance. I've never heard of this before and of course they tell you this once you get there.Anyway, they push my tee time back until a cart is available. Fine, no problem. Got paired up with a lovely couple who are members.I end up noticing afterward that they charged my son $30 (a junior rate, which is the same as their adult rate for 9 holes) to play even though he wasn't playing - just riding with me.Anyway, round was over and I bring in the cart key and a club head cover I found on the course. The European lady doesn't thank me and immediately yells at us for having my son on the golf course without clubs. He's four. He doesn't have clubs. This is how you introduce him to golf. Do they really want a 4 year old taking 35 swings per hole? Like FFS. Use some common sense.Anyway, she's got no decorum, customer service skills or understanding of how to run a business. Definitely leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Don't plan on going back there again soon. Good riddance.
