Alterations By Elena

Elena has altered several pieces for me including a bridesmaid dress and several special occasion dresses with special fabrics and challenging fittings. She has excellent skills well beyond the typical hemming. She works with the fabric and the figure to make the item work on me and takes the extra time and effort to please me. It is truly an art. Her prices are very fair. No task is too much if you've allowed sufficient time, and she is willing to help even in a pinch when she can. Recommend her very highly.

Elena is the BEST!!! she put me at ease and made alterations for two dresses (my own bridal gown and a bridesmaid dress) quickly while chatting with me about how i wanted them both to fit. I highly recommend Elena, I'll never let anyone else alter my clothes!

During the past 7 years several members of my family, friends, and neighbors have used Elena to professionally alter many items (new & old). Elena is welcoming, friendly, and gracious to all who enter her home. She considers all aspects of the garment to be altered as well as the person who will be wearing it. She explains how she will do the alteration; how much it will cost and how long it will take. She is a professional master seamstress, taught in Russia, whose work demonstrates that she has been highly trained with years of experience.

I just picked up my mother-of-the-bride dress from Elena, and I'm just thrilled with how it looks. It wasn't an easy alteration because of a lot of lace on the bottom, and it had to be shortened. Elena worked her magic and achieved perfection" for a reasonable cost. Thank you

Elena is amazing! Not only is she very much the best at what she does, but she is so nice and a pleasure to work with! She has helped with everything from dresses (wedding, bridesmaids, other dresses), to simply hemming pants, and in all instances I have been more than satisfied with her work. Elena is an absolute artist. She is masterful in her technique, and she is artistic in her vision. I first went to her to alter a maid of honor dress for my sister's wedding. She did such an amazing job, that I went back to her with a dress I wore as a guest to another wedding. It was a lace sheath dress with an intricate and delicate pattern. There were several layers, and I wanted her to take it in as well as hem it. Since it was such a complicated design, I didn't expect her to try and replicate the embellishments at the bottom of the dress. I was willing to sacrifice those just to get the desired length, but I was awe-struck when I saw the final product. She managed to re-create the original hem, and it looked as if I purchased it that way. It is now my favorite dress. Since then, I go to her reguarly with clothing I purchase at department stores and boutiques, and she helps me make them my own. I'll come to her and say, Elena

Elena has doing alterations for me for almost fifteen years. She does superb work. She is meticulous, exacting, and thoroughly professional. I trust her with my most expensive designer clothes. She is worth every penny.

Elena does beautiful work and is so easy to work with. She made my dream dress fit perfectly. I was worried about wearing a strapless dress as they tend to fall easily on my frame, but after Elena's alterations I did not touch my dress once to adjust! Not to mention she is a kind and compassionate woman who is overall amazing to work with.

I sought out Elena to alter my dress for my daughter's wedding. It wasn't your run of the mill request to let out a seam or hem it up an inch or two. My idea was to remove a front panel and transform it to a high low" dress which she did perfectly! I have done some sewing over the years but I knew my skills weren't qualified for this task. I had a wonderful experience with Elena. She helped me transform a dress I bought for $20 to a one of a kind piece that was made for my body. Elena is a very skilled tailor and has an eye for style. I purchased a dress online from the U.K. It looked great on the model but when I got it in the mail it was baggy in odd places and didn't fit well. But it had potential to look great with the right alterations.I set up an appointment with Elena. She listened to my concerns and shared her professional input to make it look unique. It went from a generic online dress to something you would find at a boutique.I will continue to go to Elena with all my alterations because she made such an impression.
