DO NOT GO ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!All the photos made this seem like such a cool place..And I'm sure it is..I wouldn't know.. I DIDN'T GET TO SEE IT!Turns out that Wednesdays are some sort of less expensive night, and they close off all of the dopest parts!I've seen photos dang it!I'm literally positive there's awesome stuff in here! But it all takes the day off on Wednesday. In closing, I'm sure this is a lovely museum. On the weekend.

Visited on a random weekend, the museum is free to visit on the first Sunday of every month! Lot of intricate and modern artworks by various artists. There is a book store and a souvenir shop. Must visit if you love ancient paintings and modern artworks!

Lovely musuem with a nice Canadian collection of Renaissance paintings from Florence, France and the Netherlands, to the English. In addition, you may like their small ensemble collections of world art, especially the best collection of modern and classic African arts, perhaps due to Quebec's French connection to its former colonies in Africa. It's worth a two-hour visit.

Love my visit to this museum. Their admission, service etc is very smooth and fluid. Kids until age of 21 i think can visit for free. We came here on saturday and spent the day going to each floor to explore the various exhibitions they currently have.Toilet is avail at every floor, its clean and proper. The building itself is very pretty and bien-fait.I recommend.

An amazing experience at this museum for my second time! Let me start by saying I love that it’s free every first Sunday of the month. Second, the staff is very friendly and professional. The museum is always clean and visitors respect that and keep it that way. It is located on Sherbrooke Street, one of my favorites of Montreal. Keep in mind that the museum is constituted of 3 separate but connected buildings so it might take you a while to visit it all or several visits like I did. Each building has several floors and of course there’s a café and a souvenirs shop. I love the selections of their paintings and each gallery on the different floors. You really travel to the era you are contemplating the paintings from. This is what makes the experience special and unique. I would definitely come back again. Thanks for a great time!

The staff, the cleanliness, the ticket prices and the overall collection of authentic art was ALL worth the trip. You're not going to find this kind of variety in too many places throughout the world. No video recording and no flash photos - respect the rules and take photos (without flash) with respect. There is a cafe on site - they WILL check your bag, so don't get offended. Outside drinks are not okay.

Beautiful museum! There is something for everyone to appreciate, I was mostly amazed by the Napoleon hair they have there! Looking at that and many other objects that were hundreds of years old was just mind blowing . I also really liked viewing and reading about all the different styles of art, paintings, sculptures etc. We walked around for 3 hours and saw everything. We were starving at the end of our little tour but while in there i noticed people actually take their lunch bags and eat inside the museum…they have a lot of lounge areas for the people to eat..-also several bathrooms everywhere all very clean

There’s Free Admission the first Sunday of every month! So many beautiful exhibits and lots to see. I loved looking at all the different collections they have. Did get lost a little and found my way in an art school but a fun adventure nonetheless!

Instead of attending Canada Day celebrations, we instead went to the museum to look at indigenous art & other Canadian artists. They also had an exhibition on from Columbia showing and educating people on their indigenous culture and practices. Overall, the space was beautiful and clean. Organized and well planned out exhibits. Even their museums gift shop was really beautiful and had such a nice selection of items that aren’t all cheap-looking & boring. Their art book selection was amazing and some of the best I’ve seen. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Montreal!
