White Heron Martial Arts is an amazing Dojo! Our son Connor absolutely loves going to class each week and camp each summer! My son has learned so much self control and discipline, as well as sportsmanship and a real love of karate. Sensei Dave and the other teachers teach with such encouragement and patience. We cannot say enough good things about them!!

White Heron Martial Arts is the best! Sensei Dave is engaging and encouraging. He brings out the best in all the students. He and his assistants show a ton of patience with the kids and they always make class fun. I’ve had 3 sons practice karate at this dojo and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience with Martial Arts in the Elmira or St Jacobs area!

White Heron Martial Arts is amazing! Sensei Dave is a wonderful teacher, who treats each and every student with respect. Students learn at their own pace, while pushing themselves both physically and mentally. Highly, highly recommend this karate school for adults and children.

We love White Heron! My son says he likes going there to meet people and feeling proud of himself. Dave is so patient and positive and has the perfect mix of kindness with discipline. After his first grading my son came home and said that we cannot ask if he passed, we need to wait and have the patience of a crane! The teachings in karate extend out of the dojo! Highly recommend

We are so happy we found White Heron ( Thanks to a friend for pushing us in this direction) Sensei Dave is incredible, he works well with all ages and teaches kids to learn respect and so much more( he also plays fun games the kids love haha ) Since our daughter has been going we have noticed a big difference.The atmosphere is great here, we have met some great people since being apart of this Dojo. And the prices are affordable and pretty reasonable, we have no complaints.Definitely would recommend White Heron Martial Arts, so happy to have our daughter apart of this Dojo.

Sensei Dave is amazing. He truly is teaching these adults and kids because of his love of Karate. He brings so much to the classes every week. Both of my kids absolutely love going (age 9 and 15).
