Very helpful and patient. Jason took the time to understand what I was doing, and kitted me out with everything I needed to get the job done. I ended up with a Canon R5 and some studio lights for a corporate video shoot, and it went great. These guys were great to me even though I didn't know exactly what I needed.

Rented from Workshop several times now and they're always super knowledgeable, easy to deal with and quick to respond to any questions. Jason was very accommodating and dedicated to making sure our shoot went smoothly. They have some unique pieces of gear you're unlikely to find elsewhere and conveniently located making pickups a breeze. Highly recommended, will definitely check back with them again when planning my next shoot.

Jason and the team were incredibly helpful and accommodating when I called with a last minute hire before a long weekend! The hire process was simple, no lengthy paperwork was involved, and the cost was very competitive and reasonable compared to other vendors I'd checked out. When I returned the lens and shared that my hard drive (with all my photos) had broken just after the shoot, they gave me advice as to where I could get the problem fixed. Overall a great experience and would definitely hire from Workshop again - thank you very much :)

Jason was extremely accommodating when I called looking for a specific add-on for a tripod one afternoon. He stayed late after business hours so I could come down and get it at my convenience. Even though it was late, he still took the time to talk to me about my project and recommend some other equipment that upped my production level at a very reasonable cost.Really honest, and personable service. The owners are so incredibly helpful, patient, knowledgable and kind. Calling around town for gear, the customer service was immediately night and day compared to the other camera rental stores in town. Jason stayed on the phone with me to ask me what I needed, offering options he thought would be most helpful. Never became impatient with my amateur questions. Then when I went into the shop to check out the different options, he had everything prepared for me, and took his time showing me each one, even helping me learn my new camera and how to navigate the menu. Prices are affordable and more than fair. I really appreciate customer service like this. It makes such a big difference in my overall experience, and also just in my day! It makes me happy to support local, small businesses like these.

These guys were a w e s o m e.I had a one-time video project to do and came into things with little to no info/knowledge. Not only are the practically infinite options for AV tech overwhelming, I was also talked down to and felt sort of dismissed by the other shops I called.Jason, however, was AMAZING. He took the time to ask me about what I was doing and explained a number of options to me with zero sales pressure and NO judgement, even though I was paddling in the kiddie pool compared to what he knows.We ended up finding somewhat that worked within my budget, and he was super responsive when I had questions while filming, and when I needed to extend my rental. Personally, I won't be going anywhere else in Vancouver for future rentals and honestly, unless you're already SUPER knowledgeable about what you're looking for, you shouldn't either. (And even then, wouldn't you rather enjoy the company of the people you're renting from?)Thanks y'all!

I had a very great first experience! Jason and Chris were a huge help for me with renting out a stabilizer. They suggested the best product for what I was looking for, which in my case was the DJI Ronin S, walked me through what I needed to know and even provided a link with a helpful video on how to operate since it was our first time using it. The rental process was quick and easy. The shoot went smoothly and we are very happy with the footage.
