Walpole Algonac Ferry Ltd

This was a nice ride. Today was windy and cold. Our boat captain did a great awesome job on the river crossing.

Discovered this ferry by accident. My GPS routed through this ferry to cross over to US. I had no idea that it existed.Arrived around 9 pm, and mine was the only car on the ferry. Cost $12.Short ferry ride. Immigration on the US side was also very quick.

Just a little bit more expensive than the bridge but the convenience is priceless.

From the Walpole Island First Nation to Algonac Michigan. $10 fee each way. A short wait time and beautiful view of the St. Clair river.

Amazing little cross boarder greet ride. It’s a little trip but enjoyable. The boat crew and the border agents on both sides are very friendly.

Took the ferry for the first time ever back in March. We hit it exactly right - waited for about 5 minutes to load, and we were the only vehicle on the ferry. The attendant who took our money was the friendliest gentleman ever. We visited with him for a bit and he gave us info about the ferry, their hours etc. and told us we were welcome to get out and take pictures. It was a very pleasant experience, and we will definitely be back again.

A beautiful view as you cross your car by ferry boat in the river,with a period not exceeding 15 minutes.

Very nice facility with good service

We crossed at about 3:00 pm on an Friday afternoon from Canada into the USA and I thought we would have a lengthy wait. But it was less than an hour to cross here including our time with the USA customs officer. I won’t lie, this was a total blast! You can even get out of your car and take some pictures. If you have never been on a ferry, definitely, this is fun to do! It’s $12.00 Canadian to cross over and during the process of crossing the St Claire River we got to see this luxury yacht. (Would love to ride on one of those, one day!) I was a little nervous and uncomfortable about HOW to do this…where to park to wait, how to drive on and park, etc but the staff was amazing! Friendly and patient. They give you clear and kindly directions. It melted all my anxiety away! Kudos to the ferry staff, they were amazing!

Fun ride across the river. We were the only car going through customs but we had 3-4 officers come out to the car. Very fast.
