Tom Thumb Parent Involvement Preschool

We've been at Tom Thumb now for over 2 years and LOVE it. Teachers are warm and inviting and give each child the attention they need. We've built many lasting relationships with other families and feel a real sense of community at the school. The space is bright and inviting, displaying lots of colourful artwork and photos. We also love the new playground out back. If you're looking for a great preschool experience for your wee one on their journey into learning, Tom Thumb is the place!

Tom Thumb Preschool is an amazing school! The teachers are wonderful and the space cozy and inviting. My daughters both thrived during their preschool years there and it was such a great community for us. I made some really great friends as did my children! Tom Thumb Preschool has been my teaching home for the past 11 years. I feel so very fortunate to have joined such a supportive and caring community of families and feel truly honoured to play a role in fostering their children's love of learning through play. This year marks a major milestone, as it is my daughter's first year of preschool, and my first year as a parent in the preschool. To see her experience the care and nurturing guidance from my colleagues in our fabulous teaching team, to see her build relationships with her peers and feel secure in such a safe and engaging setting, to see her eyes light up when it is a preschool morning... that is what I have cherished as an early childhood educator all these years with the many families that have been a part of our little preschool, and now to have the opportunity to see my own child experience it, what more could I ask for!

My daughter started attending the 2's program at Tom Thumb in October 2021 and we love it! I attend with her and she is always excited to go try out the new activities every week. The teachers are lovely - my daughter was instantly comfortable with them.

From Day 1, Tom Thumb Preschool provided a warm and caring environment. Our twins started preschool for the first time this year (SY 21-22) and have been enjoying their teachers and school so much. The teachers are patient and thorough. They meet the needs of our children individually while also establishing a positive classroom community. The materials are engaging, fresh, and of good quality. Tom Thumb feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

It is so much fun walking into Tom Thumb every morning and greeting the small tight night community. The teachers work hard to set up the room differently every day and it is a real treat to see all the different stations" for the children. A really special

This is a great preschool! The teachers are truly excellent - kind, caring, creative and fun. They respect and understand each kid just where they're at, while gently encouraging them to grow and expand their horizons at the same time. It's Reggio-inspired and play-based so they follow the children's lead on what they want to learn, and develop teaching themes from there. The main classroom is cozy, bright and spacious with lots of fun crafts and activities to play each day - always something new and interesting to capture the kids' attention! There is also a lovely outdoor space and playground, nearby parks and library for field trips, and a great gym with tricycles, basketball, and gymnastics play on rainy days. It's a parent involvement preschool so it's a real community too, where the parents become friends, as do the kids. We love it!
