Shuswap Tree Service

Shuswap Tree Service was able to help me out of a bind on short notice. They were very accommodating, punctual, friendly, efficient, priced fairly, and most importantly safe. They removed a 100' Douglas Fir from between two RV's and managed the limbs as they were removed, through a block and tackle system, so as to not cause any damage to the units. The site was left cleaner than when they arrived. Kudos to their team.

We had another landscaper plant 66 cedar trees and in less than 2 weeks 80% of them were starting to die. We contacted the landscaper and all he did was send us a text advising us to water more! Never stopped by to take a look at possible causes or offer any help. We were on our own and certain it was NOT lack of water as we had installed irrigation. We knew they were getting plenty of water plus not every tree was dying! It was random. Some were thriving. In desperation I called nurseries and other landscapers for help. Only Nick from Shuswap Tree Service responded. He came over immediately and examined the trees and gave us several suggestions which we followed to the 'T'. He also feared they may be planted too deep. Then he followed up with us to see how it was going. Long story short...we still lost 75-80% of the trees and had to hire help to remove them. What a mess. In the end we discovered the trees that perished were definitely planted too deep and had suffocated. I took many pictures as we pulled them out of the ground. Pictures show beautiful damp soil with moist tree trunks and branches dug well below the surface...some of them buried as much as 10 too deep! Nick and his experienced staff confirmed it was 100% due to poor planting. The trees suffocated. I contacted the original landscaper immediately and still have heard nothing back! Thank you Nick for being so generous with your time and effort! This company is just great!!!!!!!"

We had Shuswap Tree Services removed three trees in our yard. They were amazing. We had nothing but obstacles... hydro wires and our camper in the front yard and they took care of it without any issues. They got the job done fast and the yard was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. Great guys...highly recommend!

Amazing work ethic displayed by Colby and his team. They were on time to start, which is impressive by its self in this day and age. Our tree was in a very tricky spot surrounded by fencing and a custom flag stone patio. Colby was very perfect and worked through each limb with precision and patient's cutting it and lowering it down via a pulley system. I can not recommend this company enough, very pleased and will definitely be using them again in the future.

Had an old Willow tree that was starting to cause lots of problems for us on Mara Lake. After discussing with the lads at Shuswap Tree Service we decided to give it a serious pruning, versus removal.Can’t say enough about these guys. GREAT job, on time, no invoice surprises, no surprises of any kind. Not a leaf laying around when they were done, in fact, our yard was a lot cleaner when they left than when they arrived.Shade in a month or two, and we don’t have to worry about the tree coming down for another 5 years or so!Thank you!!!

We cannot thank Nick and Chris enough for their help today. We called them because our cat got stuck pretty far up a tree. They were quick to respond and were able to come very quickly too. They were professional and friendly and so helpful in a very stressful time for us. Our cat was safely returned down from the tree and we're so relieved. Hopefully we will never need to use this particular service again, but I would call them in a second if we did.

100% recommend Nick and his team for any tree services! We had a very large, hollow cottonwood on our property stuck between powerlines a wood shed and our house! Shuswap Tree Service was the only company we contacted that would even touch this tree! Very skilled guys that landed this tree perfectly without any damage to anything around it! Give them a call, you wont be disappointed!!

This was just posted on a local Facebook page:I hate to be the most negative person on the internet today but I do need to warn everyone to stay far away from Shuswap Tree Services.We have used Nik in the past to take care of our trees both at home and at the restaurant and had no issue. Months ago, we reached out to have two larger trees removed from our backyard. He required a deposit of $1,000 which was paid via etransfer. He scheduled the job and didn’t show up. We tried to contact him for days with no response. Finally, after me reaching out to his peers in the industry, he called to advise he had a family emergency and would be in to do the work in the coming days. That was weeks ago and despite many promises to show, he hasn’t arrived.We asked that he return our deposit repeatedly and he has since ghosted us.As you can imagine, having money essentially stolen from us at this time is just another punch to the gut. Just wanted everyone to steer clear.

Professional, friendly, fast and fair. We had a huge dead danger tree to remove and lots of limbing work that was long over due. The crew worked hard and cleaned up nicely. They even chopped up my tree into rounds for firewood. I had three quotes before choosing Shuswap for this job.
