Centennial High School | Calgary Board of Education

This might actually be the worst high school in the whole city.My experience at this school wasn't great. The people here were like SNL skits: a lot of bad ones, some decent ones, and very few good ones. Teachers here seem to care about student's sucess for the most part. My one piece of advice is: do not take foods. It'll be the most stressful class you ever take in your life because the main chef is awful.

My time at this school (2015-2018) were some of the best years of my life so far. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time. It's a great school!

Honestly, the school itself did not help me in any way. The teachers don't put in the effort to really support students, but there are a few supportive teachers such as Ms. Berry and Mr. Morozoff. But the rest don't really care. Most of the students that go to this school are too egotistical and they never think twice. The school was vandalized over a vape and there were groups of students who were always looking for unnecessary trouble, there were often police officers around the building because of these students. The only good memories I had at this school were with my close friends, but outside of that I am quite glad that I don't ever have to go to Cent again. The most miserable 3 years of my life.

The students need to be taught courtesies! The students on the bus seemed polite and quiet for the most part but when a senior came on the bus not one gave up there sit even in the courtesy seating area. I blame parents in today's society for not teaching this early on, expecting this trait in there children. I found the students from forest lawn high school to be more courtesy and that is a real sad sad day! Parents and teachers, actions speak louder than words.

CLASS 2015-2018 ABSOLUTE DEGENERACYThis school has traumatized me more than anything and has quite literally ruined my life the school system failed me and i will forever be haunted for the rest of my life of what had and has happened there to only just to me. It is a horrifying absolute terrible disgrace.I had a few nice teachers but they really don't care about you and are all absolutely oblivious to the lives we went through in and outside of the school and still going through.I am mentally destroyed because of this high school. Even worse than Mid-Sun, Fish Creek but Mid-Sun is probably equally as disastrous. Fish Creek was MEH.I can't sleep at night thinking about what some students have done to my life and affected me and teachers too like they are absolute degeneration and the CBE school system failed me and I am ashamed to be called one of their alumni

I just finished Grade 10 this June and I enjoyed it! The teachers are all pretty supportive and helped me with whatever questions I had. Not to mention how helpful most of the older students are, specifically when trying to find my way around the school at the beginning of the year. Shoutout to Mr. Hill, Mrs. Laurendeau, Mr. Juul-Hansen and Mrs. Kolala for being incredible and supportive! One of my criticisms is how expensive the food is. $5 for a wrap? Really? Also, not stoked that their getting rid of Tutorial next year. Honestly, the only reason I passed this year.

Enjoyed the police vs fire basketball game , this venu was great , including parking and seating .

Worst school I went to Mr. Juul-Hansen head of the senior boys basketball ruined the game for me. He bullied me and just wanted to play his kid who was one of the worst on the team by far. He is currently the physical education teacher and if you want a good basketball program take your kid across the road to bishop o'byrne high school the one connected to the YMCA. He does not know how to coach at all you could give him the best kids in the city and he would still find a way to lose. Honestly if you want your kid to have a good experience in high school basketball find a way to get him in somewhere else.

Mr. Buracas is the worst math teacher i have ever had. i got the lowest grade i have ever had in a class in his math class, and after taking math again the next year with a different teacher, i passed with an 88. I did not change my study routine at all, which consists of not studying, and was still able to pass with almost double my previous grade which i truly believe was only because of my teacher. Mr Buracas does not know how to teach, he fcks around all class and whenever we ask him a question he explains the exact same thing we were previously confused on. every single friend i have that took buracas math class says he is the worst teacher they have ever had. he needs to either be taught how to teach, or leave the school and go teach some elementary kids, because his enthusiasm will certainly draw their attention. cannot teach for sht and i believe the only reason he is still a teacher at this school is because he has such a happy personality towards other staff, despite the absurd way he “teaches” his students

The front receptionist was incredibly rude on the 14th of January. The people skills required to uphold such a job like that were not presented. I came to the school searching for help or advice for university as a former student. I went through the process of signing in and getting a visitors pass although while asking for a visitor pass i was asked to leave the premises very rudely before being able to explain why i was there after respecting the process.
