Beautiful location! The owner was kind enough to let us campers use the facilities at the lodge. Thank you and see you again soon!

I gave three stars just for the location. The rest of the place is just 1 star. That place looks interesting in a first place. However we were surprised with their services. We had a room and paid not a low amount for a comfortable stay. We stayed for three nights and didn't have a chance to take a warm (not hot) shower. Water always was too cold. Lady on the receptions said it's because they have too many guests. So, why is that my problem? Rooms are outdated. Group rooms have very strange layout: one part of the room doesn't have any window or AC. So if you stay in that part of the room and need to close the door between the main room and the second one you just stay in the large closed. That could be an issue even you don't have a claustrophobia.Breakfast is pretty expensive for that place and for dishes you can choose. It's just not worth it.The lake and the beach were good and nice. We really enjoyed it but wouldn't come back to that place again.

This review has been such a long time in coming. We LOVE the Stoco Lake Lodge, the whole staff and especially Casey. Working with Casey is a breath of fresh air, and one of the best choices if you want to host an event or just a family getaway. We have had entire church retreats up at the lodge, family getaways and even a wedding. Every single time we have been up there, no matter the season, it has been such a relaxing and fun getaway for the whole family. The rooms are cute and well equipped, the glamping tents are so cozy, cute and COMFORTABLE, and the food is delicious. In the summer time the outdoor fun doesn't end. There are canoes, paddle boats, hammocks, a sandy beach, a dock and plenty of hiking if you want to off road it. And in the winter, there is plenty to do inside of you are with friends: a pool table, darts, movies, a huge gaming area, spa...Casey is always upgrading the property so I am sure there is probably more that he has added since we were last up there. Overall, Stoco Lake Lodge is a winner for any type of getaway you could want.

After thoroughly researching lodging facilities in the area, I made my booking (end Dec. '21)...directly with the Lodge. (By the way, I hugely recommend this method as it saves a hotel/motel facility a fair bit in fees).I chose the Lodge, based on its website portrayal and apparent amenities which looked cheery and inviting. It seemed a perfect choice to end a 4 day motorcycle trip with friends.Upon arrival, Natalie seemed genuinely surprised at our drowned-rat situation as we had be riding all day in torrential rains and heavy winds.  We were cold, wet and glad to be off the road.To Natalie's credit, she DID offer to run our sopping duds through the dryers which was muchly appreciated and would have made for a higher rating here. The problem however stems from the fact that what had drawn me to the Lodge, was, we discovered, not going to be part of the deal. She told us the pub was closed. So, no food or drink.  It wasn't as though we could pop next door; the nearest food was in Tweed, 20 minutes away) We were told we'd have to mount our bikes again in the still-pouring rain and find ourselves some place in Tweed.Given our state of mind and body, that was not going to happen.I tried calling a restaurant in Tweed re delivery and got a terse response that they were NOT coming to Stoco Lake  Lodge.Lodge personnel were well-aware their services were 'down' but it appears.....they valued the 3 incoming room revenues over integrity.Bottom line: huge disappointment.  No where near as advertised and further, the rooms seemed quite beaten from age and rough use.In the morning, the 3 of us felt fairly horrid from no food since noon the previous day.I was embarrassed at having made this choice. I have no idea how the Lodge could charge what they do. Poor value.Sincerely and factually,John F

I've been there a week ago for long weekend. Have a tent waterfront. Really nice experience, double bed very comfortable, the pillows also, clean and smells good. What I object is the fact that at the phone call I was assured that the tent has AC, tv 32 (with Netflix!)

I booked this resort with my dog over the Thanksgiving weekend. The owners went out of their way to make sure I was well looked after. It’s located on a beautiful property with the most amazing western exposure sunsets! Great beach and perfect for fishing! It was off season and they are currently doing renovations which is not easy with supply issues. It’s an older resort but they are working hard to make it an event venue, it would be an amazing place to get married. Although I didn’t have time to eat there, the restaurant seemed busy and the food smelled amazing! As for the cold water, I discovered that there is hot water, it’s just plumbed so that you turn the dial to the opposite direction that you think would be hot. Once I figured this out I enjoyed lots of hot water. I found everything to be very satisfactory and look forward to returning and see the transformation with new windows! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

the price was a little too steep for what we got at this lakeside “resort”.We stayed at one of the glamping tents for a weekend. Nothing really too special in the tents, a king sized bed, a table and a lamp. The lamp / fan is powered by a small battery pack that will only last you for couple hours before you have to ask front desk to replace it with a new one. Washrooms were also a walk from the site so it did get tedious going back and forth. Our main concern was the lack of amenities at the resort. Kayaks and other boats had a rental fee for the day, and given the price of this place I would have assumed it would be complementary. The showers had mold and is an open concept “locker-room” style shower. There are better options for the same price, if I wanted to do traditional camping rather than glamping I would have had the same experienceOn a positive note, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, washrooms were clean, our tent did a great job keeping bugs outside and the town of Tweed was very near to enjoy the small shops and parks. The bar food was pretty good as well

The water was out in the hotel for the majority of the time, WiFi was out for the entire Saturday, barely working AC in the room.Definitely overpriced. The towels seemed like they were inherited from queen Victoria times, not a single shelf in the room, forget about any closet to put away your clothing. With such a nice place on the small lake, such awful experience with the lodge. Not recommending

I've been here several times now at the venue for events and the Restaurant/Bar called Finns. The food is great and the service even better. I've eaten indoors and out here. Nice view of the lake and sun sets. Melissa is an attentive, personable server! Very good at her job and seems like she likes it. Kudos. I will be back.

Reserved months in advance, however, they called one month prior to the date informing me that a concert" was taking place and they were booked up. We had to scramble to find somewhere else to enjoy our vacation. Not the best experience. Kinda glad
