Visited for a friend’s 50th birthday and the food was amazing. Top notch service from Jeremy (Part-Time Pete ;)We were a large group and he not only provided amazing and efficient service, he did so with a smile and wonderful conversation. Well done Waring House for employing people that elevate the experience to beyond 5 stars!

The food is good when it's good... And sometimes it's not... There doesn't seem to be much accountability. Staff is a hit or miss. As a former employee I can say some are world class... Hope you get them.. The experience will be wonderful. When things go well this is a nice place to visit.. But you must have a car and driver. Taxis are a maybe and police station is close so if planning on visiting wineries make a plan. If you're coming for dinner.. Make sure you can get home or plan to stay. They do go all out at Halloween.

Very interesting experience here. All looked nice when entering our cabin until we noticed bugs all over the place including on the pillows. We were supposed to have a private area outside of the cabin with a hot tub (that smelled and was not even hot). Multiple people walked into our area while we were in the hot tub and in the open field behind the hot tub. We left right away after that. Have called and emailed multiple times with no reply at all. They clearly are aware of these issues as I see many similar reviews and just don’t seem to care. The owner only seems to respond to the very few good reviews. Pretty sad.

We had booked for a romantic getaway and had a premium suite. The room certainly was premium. We had a crazy huge bathroom with a big soaker tub. I do wonder why in such a huge bathroom they put such a small shower but the tub made up for it. We had a separate living room and bedroom with a double patio door in each that walked out onto our private patio with our own 2 person hot tub. Absolutely lovely! And it was really nice to have bathrobes included. There was evidence that some tender loving care was required; some mildew by shower fan and the outdoor wood framing around patio doors needs sanding and repainting but over all very lovely. We never were able to use the TV or the phones in the room. We ended up just using our cellphones to call reception; we had no coffee creamer left for us. It was nice having glass wine glasses and actual coffee mugs, really liked that. They also had a wine bottle opener which was handy since we forgot to bring one. I would suggest you make sure you have all your coffee supplies on arrival as they don't replenish because of Covid and it wasn't nice discovering there was no coffee creamer at 6:30 am. I would also ask how to use the TV at check in, we never did firgure it out. Not terrible because we had the hot tub, soaker tub, and games but one night we were hoping to watch movie in bed and felt it was too late to call reception, only security there at that time. The sitdown full service breakfast was also lovely but be prepared for more of a diner experience. Staff was fun but certainly not fine dining type of thing. They would dress the table as you stood there, drinks came sometimes at breakfast, sometimes separately, one time I got juice while my husband had none. It was kind of comical really. Coffee and breakfast were cold mostly and eggs over done but at the same time we enjoyed the experience of full service and antics. You could see some people were expecting a much more high end service. We actually had lots of laughs and overall enjoyed it. Dinner was much more professional, food was sensational. It was also nice to walk to town. The first night we walked to Black Prince Winery and had a lovely bottle of wine and fire baked pizza on the vine covered patio. All in all, every space was unique and charming and glad we booked here.

Large group, accommodated efficiently in one room, great service from Jeremy and friends. Only remark was the chicken had too much going on" too many different flavors with no real focus. The vegetarian option was fantastic. Probably the best I've had there yet.Enjoyed by non vegetarians as well. The vegetables and garlic were roasted perfectly and the tomato sauce was very complimentary. The salads and desserts were enjoyed by all. Some salads had many strawberry slices

The staff were excellent! We are a young couple and enjoyed our last minute getaway for new year's Eve. This is not a cookie cutter place so expect some things to be dated, but our room was clean and again all staff from reception to the restaurant were kind and accommodating (on likely one of the busiest nights of the year). Our main drive to select this hotel was the private hot tub for two, which was perfect! We enjoyed every second of our soak. The food at the new year's eve was not up to our trips expectations, but I would be willing to visit again on a less busy night.Recommend a stay, but again remember this is not a brand new hotel, so think about all the folks who work hard to keep things clean and comfortable. We will be back again :).

Staff was kind and checked in often which was nice. However the food was very disappointing. Paid $35 for high tea and got a pile of stale wonder bread, butter and cucumber. I unfortunately can't see myself recommending this to anyone visiting PEC

Amazing experience this past weekend. My group really enjoyed the food and cold drinks. Our server, Jeremy, (PP) made sure we had everything we needed and made excellent menu suggestions. His friendly smile welcomed us, and when we left we felt as though we were saying goodbye to a friend.

We had an underwhelming dinner at Amelia's Garden Dining room. Servers were excellent but It was pricey for what we got. $42 got myself a previously frozen steak, carrots, potatoes and broccoli. They were well seasoned but everything over cooked and the steak was dry. My wife had the locally caught pickerel which was around the same price. Her fish was overcooked and just bland.Because they have a Culinary school and the price of the dishes we assumed it would be a much higher quality meal that had some plating flair or even some garnishes. In short our meal wasn't terrible, just not what I consider fine dinning especially given the other restaurants in the area like the drake or the royal.

I want to start by saying the staff was excellent, super nice and accommodating. The food however was terrible. We had the afternoon high tea and were expecting tea sandwiches, pastries and desserts. However we got wonder bread butter sandwiches and stale snacks from no frills. Overall, would not come again for the afternoon high tea.
