I can not say enough good things about Peter @ Island Furnace and Fireplace. We had our pilot light not working on our gas fireplace and the remote control would not work either (yes we replaced batteries). It is a primary heat source for our main floor, and of course the cold snap hit. Peter went above and beyond to locate a new remote and even came to recalibrate and reset our fireplace, even though technically his service calls were booked out for several months in advance. Truly the best service experience I have had in years.. Outstanding service!!! Thank you Peter for the professional caring service!

I called Peter to repair my fireplace, he said perhaps at the end of the week. I didn’t hear from him. I called back the following Monday and left him a voicemail. On Christmas Eve morning Sean called me to repair my fireplace. I was thrilled. I had already made an appointment with another company to come in January.Excellent service, they will be my annual fireplace tuneup. Thank you so much Peter and Sean for your excellent work.

We can’t say enough great things about this family run business! They installed a propane fire place and a ducted HVAC system in our 1945 home. The house went from being cool all the time to a perfect constant temperature with huge hydro savings. Peter and Alex came up with an innovative installation plan for the HVAC ducting system that ticked all our boxes. The propane fireplace they installed was a complicated install because of the old curved firebox opening. Again, they thought of a great plan to give us exactly what we were envisioning. Along with quoting the most competitive price, we couldn’t be happier with the service they provided!

Our gas fireplace needed to be replaced, and a friend suggested we speak with Peter Bodman after visiting the usual showrooms in Victoria. I spoke to Peter on Sep 30, he came for a look on Oct 1, gave me a quote on Oct 2, and we had it installed on Oct 9. There were unforeseen additional electrical work that was needed, and Peter managed to get his electrician to come in and get it done on Oct 10, and we were off using it then. Excellent service, and products at the right price.

We had an excellent experience with Island furnace and fireplace. They replaced our old defective gas fireplace with a new Savannah Noble 36. The work was done quickly and efficiently and everything works perfectly after the installation. Peter bodman was very easy to deal with throughout the whole experience. I would highly recommend this business.

We first contacted Peter Bodman after a chat at a 2018 home show, where he confirmed he could install a heat pump in our existing ducted electric forced air system. This approach made more sense to us than using the ductless" types

We had an excellent experience with Island furnace and fireplace. They replaced our old oil furnace with a new gas one.The work was done quickly and efficiently and everything works perfectly after the installation. They also replaced a large portion of our duct work and really listened to what we wanted with it. Our thermostat was causing issues and Peter had a tech come and look at it and the problem was solved. Peter bodman was very easy to deal with throughout the whole experience. I would highly recommend this business.

I have just had a gas furnace installed by Peter and Island Furnace and Fireplace. The service was polite and cost comparable to other quotes I received. Peter accommodated my timeline, ensured all was completed promptly including removal of my old oil tank. I would recommended them and use them again if needed.

I couldn't have asked for better service. Peter was prompt and flexible on coming to give me a quote on the work, and he was able to get all the required people in to install a new gas fireplace, furnace, and BBQ, and remove the oil tank and furnace all within a week. The fireplace looks fantastic, and the rest of the installation was top notch.
