As a rookie landlord, I was super thankful to have both Gemmah and Krisitin help me navigate this whole business- because it can be a lot, especially when you already work full time! Yes, CIR takes a percentage, and yes you could probably do it all yourself, but honestly, it's the best money I've ever spent. It is so worth it to have professionals such as these to find tenants, set up the contracts, and deal with all the issues that inevitably come up. Gemmah has always replied to my emails promptly, she has always been extremely helpful and insightful, and I felt I could trust her opinion when questions arose. She has high standards for both the tenant and the landlord, and she ensures that the property is well taken care of by both parties. I would highly recommend CIR Property Management to anyone considering becoming a landlord.

Gemmah Barrett is my Property Manager and she has done an excellent job in managing my property. I've also worked with Kristin Wood in the introduction phase and she is very knowledgeable, great at responding, will give you her honest feedback, is conscientious, and dependable. I've been working closely with Gemmah and she is very hard working, knowledgeable, friendly, dependable, and responds promptly to inquiries. She truly has me and my tenants' best interests at heart and always goes to bat for us. She makes sure my tenants are happy while also making sure repairs/maintenance are done quickly, properly, and at the best price. Whenever I have a request, I have full confidence that Gemmah will do the job properly and she has honestly really taken off the load and stress of managing a property -- this is what a good Property Manager does. I was previously with a different property management company in Calgary and they were absolutely TERRIBLE and cost me a lot of money, effort, and stress. Gemmah, Kristin, and CIR Realty has honestly been a breath of fresh air and their services are worth every dollar. I called to enquire about a rental listing they had. Sherry in Calgary who takes care of rental properties, interrupted me before I was done introducing myself. She then started rambling about how they were getting too many calls for the listing so she refused to speak to me and told me to email through the site. Which would have been fine, but then she continued to list all the things I would need to do or wouldn't be considered, some things were quite outrageous and personal to ask ppl to provide.. I tried to ask her to slow down so I could write everything down, but she just talked over me and kept going. She had an extremely negative tone the entire time and at the end of the conversation she just hung up on me.So if you're looking for kind, compassionate ppl who are going to listen and help you find your next home, save your time with CIR and find a company that learned their manners in kindergarten. Maybe if you have terrible customer service skills.... YOU SHOULDNT BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!
