Tiny Tourist Baby Equipment Rentals

I don’t normally write reviews but this service saved our trip to Kelowna soo much that I had to. In short - Carmen is amazing. She replied to my text message quickly and we were able to get a playpen within 45minutes of contacting her. The playpen helped our 13month have a place to sleep for a week.Long version - we left Ottawa, Ontario at 7am Monday August 12 and we had to wake our baby up at 5am. Ottawa is 3 hours ahead from Kelowna’s time. We arrived in Kelowna around 12pm. Our baby only napped a total of 1 hour over two flights. We knew the Airbnb we got, didn’t have a playpen so we brought our Dock-a-tot for our baby. We figured we let him sleep in it in our room on the floor and worse case, let him sleep with us on the bed. Well...5:30pm rolled around and we tried. Our baby got out of his Dock-a-tot and tried to crawl under the bed. We tried to let him co-sleep with us but he sat up and shrieked (basically wanted to party). We knew he was over tired as he’s been up for such a long time. My wife tried to rock him back to sleep on the bed and she turned to me and said we need to go and buy a playpen. I didn’t want to buy a playpen because I knew it would have cost us $50 just to ship it back home but i was going to do it anyways. I did a google search and was going to see if I can buy a used one in the area before buying a new one and somehow I found Tiny Tourist. I looked at the website and saw they rent playpens and full sized cribs. I wasn’t sure if the Dock-a-tot would fit in the playpen so I wanted a full size crib like the one we have at home. I immediately contacted Carmen. I sent an online request through her website, then quickly went to her Facebook page and contacted her there too, and finally I sent her a text message by phone. She got my text message and said she is out of the full size crib until Wednesday (it was Monday) but has a playpen available for rent. I said yes and drove quickly to pick it up. This was all within 45minutes span. I contacted her at 6pm and picked up the playpen by 6:45pm. She said to see if the playpen works then I won’t need the full size crib but she still held in case I needed to switch it on the Wednesday. I drove back to the Airbnb and put it together within minutes, took our baby who now passed out in my sister-in-law’s arm and placed him in his dockatot in the playpen. Our baby slept for the rest of the night. He woke up at 3:30am the next day but a quick bottle of milk and he went back to sleep. For the rest of the week he slept through the night for 11 hours and did he’s 2hr nap during the day. I message Carmen the next day and said the playpen works perfectly so no need to hold the full size crib. I returned the playpen back to her Saturday just before we left back to Ottawa Ontario. My wife and I were beyond grateful. It was cheaper to rent the playpen than it would have been just to ship it back home with us in the airplane. So we saved money renting it than buying a new one. Rented two car seats with Carmyn in Feb 2020 and everything was perfect - from the booking, payment, confirmations and delivery - it was such a smooth process. Our flight was quite delayed and Carmyn was already monitoring our flight and stayed in communication. Car seats were clean, and in perfect condition.

I rented a high chair and exersaucer for our trip to Kelowna. Both pieces came clean and sanitized and in full working condition. Such an awesome service I came to Kelowna for a family trip, the car was super loaded already. So when I contacted them Carmen was helpful with a crib and an excersaucers. I will definitely be using them next year when I come back to Kelowna and telling anyone with little ones about their services.

This review is long overdue. I've been using Tiny Tourist for the last three consecutive years and find the service excellent. The equipment is in excellent condition. The response time from your initial inquiry is fast, Carmen is very professional and accommodating. I wouldn't think twice about using Tiny Tourist for your baby rental needs. Such a good service! We rented a car seat and stroller for my 7-month-old nephew. Carmen was so accessible and helpful ~ everything was clean and perfect, and so easy to install and use. Carmen outfitted us perfectly on short notice, and made pick-up and return a breeze. I recommend! We’ll be using this service again.

The equipment we rented was clean, in great condition, and perfect for what we needed. It saved us so much trouble on our mini-vacation to no have to bring a car seat, stroller or crib with us.
