Decent service. Not friendliest or welcoming. decent prices. Fast work. Have used them a few time now over the past couple of years..will never go back after all the constant attitude and disrespect - both Randy's have bad customer service or just a problem with women and just dont know how to speak to people. the young guys working their are always polite. unfortunately, you have to make sure all your paper work is always correct.sometimes paying a little bit of a higher price is worth the experience and trust in the people you're paying to do the work of your car. Id prefer to support a small and local business, especially being from Barrie and watching it grow but some people behind those businesses just shouldn't be around people.When i first started going to R&R auto i originally had given them 4 stars but time after time we started to encounter more negative experiences and recieving negative vibes for no reason. so both the hubby and I decided not to return with any of our vehicles. Im not sure if it shows but this has been updated because I originally wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.Confused how they get so many 4 stars- but then again ive been there to see how they speaks to certain people - expecting the same, I too thought it was a great place until they started to treat me as if i wasnt welcomed.I always paid on time and never called to bother them other than to drop the car off, so there was always little interaction as possible but after the bad attitudes, wrong paper work, yelling and hanging up the phone several times when someones trying to get information on the work you did for there car for the insurance details (it was such a rude and confusing conversation my husband had to ask if he's really yelling at me cus he could hear him across the room and didnt understand his anger when r&r auto gave me the wrong paperwork with a different vin #), the unprofessionalism and feeling unwelcoming starts to play into the humanity thing and trust and ethic becomes an issue, especially if your going to be working on peoples vehicles.

As a young single female getting taken advantage of at a auto mechanic's shop was on my mind, since I didn't know much about engines at 20years old. I went to a chain auto repair shop who quoted me $3k of work on my SUV and they suggested I scrap the car, as the repairs could be more than the vehicle was worth. So I took the vehicle R&R for a second opinion, and the owner quoted me somewhere in the $600 range. This was 10years ago. Since then I've always taken my vehicles to R&R with complete confidence. They fix what is asked of them. If they encounter a separate issue with the vehicle, they will tell you if it's of immediate importance to fix, or if it can wait a little longer. They're extremely reasonable priced, the best I've seen in Barrie. I trust R&R completely.Definitely recommend R&R!!

I would echo the sentiments about being a female and not being taken advantage of our being talked down to! Previous experiences with mechanics and dealerships have been negative with service techs assuming that you do not know anything about cars and quoting repair costs based on fear. I had heard that R&R Automotive was a honest place to go, and Google reviews were glowing. I called them this morning due to a check engine light and Randy had me in right away and called within a couple of hours to provide honest feedback on work and options - no pressure to fix anything. If the light returns, he said to bring it back in. I will absolutely be brining my car to R&R for future service.

Had my car checked for module/electrical problems. Its non repairable. Gave me alot of good advice on how to.proceed. No charge for their time! I so appreciate this family owned vastness!

R&R was recommended to me by a co-worker who had been using them for years. From the first visit we could tell that they treat customers like family and are trust worthy and respectable guys. We have been using them for several years to do everything from oil changes to major repairs. They tell you how it is and do not up sell or find additional issues just to make you spend more. Its a great feeling knowing that you wont be taken advantage of when dropping of your vehicle, like other dealers and repair shops in the area!

These guys have been an amazing experience. I was referred to them and honestly I would definitely refer others. They are very nice, honest and reliable. Especially as a woman going to an auto mechanic I am pleased to say that they did not treat me differently. I don't live in barrie but I needed to have repairs and car certification for a vehicle i was buying; but if I can come up and continue to support this business further the hour drive would definitely be worth it.

Amazing service! They took care of me with short notice. Fixed the problem and charged a more than fair price. Friendly, honest, reliable service. What more could you want from a mechanic.

These guys are the best in town..I bought my first truck, and '88 f150 from Sr in '98 or '99 and have been dealing with them from Brampton to Barrie over the past 20+ years...I send all my family's vehicles there as well as my own.. I would never take a car elsewhere... Unless they reccomend it (transmission rebuild last year)..They even see the small things, my wife went in for an oil change and they noticed some dummy had put the snow tires on backwards and got it all fixed up.. And today, they fixed up the snows on my truck too because the same dummy did those.. For the record, I was the dummy who did the tires wrong..

The work they have done is always first class. They never do work that doesn't need to be done or try to upsell. I recommend R&R Auto to everyone I meet that needs a good mechanic.

Called R&R to book an appointment. Briefly described what I was hearing...Right away Randy had an idea what it was and suggested I bring it in. No appointment needed was able to drive in immediately. Upon further inspection...it wasn't what he initially thought it was, but he WAS able to fix it within minutes. Great service, incredibly grateful for the work done on my car. I've definitely got myself a new mechanic. 100% recommend taking your vehicles here if you've got any sort of problem!
