Yellow Cab Vancouver

This is for the management, I hope someone sees this review and provides appropriate education to their drivers.I love seeing my people" and I also like talking in "our language" but can you please not ask me details about my personal life. If I have moved here with my family or live alone. Am I married . If I own or rent a place. I don't mind talking about the weather or anything inane but every time I get into a cab with someone who is from the sub continent I feel that I have to be ready for an inquisition. Not sure if other single female travelers have had similar experiences but I am not comfortable."

Contacted Yellow Cabs from my home land line as I normally do at least once a week for years now. I am a senior and normally they give polite service however on April 1st, cab #274 picked me and I told him the return trip errand I planned. When we got to Comox, I showed him where to park while waiting about 5 min. for me to make a deposit at a teller around the corner, but asked if he would first drive down the hill and drop me at the corner to spare me additional walking and then he could merely back up to the spot where he was to wait for me. He did not even give me time to offer him a deposit, but insisted he could not stop in the middle of the intersection. I told him he misunderstood me and he told me to get out of his cab that he was not going to wait for me. I explained that I did not have the strength to sit and wait around for another cab and was pressed for time as well re needed back at home s.a.p. Tried to reason with him and he would not pay attention to what \i was saying to him and told me I was being rude which I was not. Clearly he just wanted to get to another fare and I could just pound sand as far as he was concerned.When I called \yellow Cabs to try and report this unusual incident, I was given a number for the Operations Manager and got the 'unavailable' message for 2 days and no call me back either. Nothing in the message to indicate how many years the person expected to be unavailable thus assume it's a ploy to tire us out and give up if we have a complaint of some kind. I did manage to have the dispatcher note on my record not to send driver #274 to my home again. Most obnoxious driver I have ever encountered in my 25 years taking cabs from home for errands."

Don't take the taxi with cab number of Y301 and plate number of VB-5454!!!This driver has dangerous driving and road rage behaviors. The incident happened in the morning. The driver cut off my lane out of a sudden without enough time for the left-turn signal, and I just beeped him once. He turned out to drive at a speed of 15km/h in front of me and tried to stop me at the centre of an intersection of a traffic light, which already turned yellow. Afterward, I tried to change the lane, but he also changed the lane right in front of me, and I changed again, and he followed the same. Suddenly, he made a brake and let me stop completely. This behavior really scared me.This kind of behavior should absolutely not be tolerated because they are always on the road as a service provider. If they cannot control their emotion, I doubt a safe environment on the road can be created. Their professionalism and responsibility should be monitored at a higher level of standard as this can be considered as a life-threaten issue to the public.

I hate this service when i booked my ride it said it would less than $60 and after they charged me $ 75.50 for the ride . When i call them they just telling me that it should be done by supervisor and the supervisor is not lifting the phone. They are not calling you back even after leaving the voice Mail.

Very rude, left me in the rain, when I vocalized my discontent another cab was there to harass me.This is not a way to be treated, and very condescending. You’re better off ordering uber or lyft.

I don't understand why so many bad reviews. I booked it before reading them and when I read them tbh I considered canceling. Thankfully I did not.I booked a taxi via their online form to take me early morning the next day to the airport. The driver arrived on time, helped with my luggage and responded to my question about whether the online fee calculation was accurate (because I read a review about them charging way more).The ride was smooth and I paid actually way less than what was predicted and also quite less than what an uber would have cost me. Recommended

I took Yellow Cab # 2 from the airport to Tswwassen Ferry. The gentleman was kind and considerate. He helped load out bags into the cab. He asked if we already had a ticket for the ferry (I assume to see if we were cutting it close) he didn’t speed to a point for a concern, he kept his cab clean! He did force conversation and this one is huge for me he ignored his own phone because we were on board. Honestly %100 great job definitely will be recommending Yellow Cabs to my friends and family

I’m in a wheelchair and frequently pre booked rides with yellow cab. They often never came and when we called they said no one’s available. Once they said ones coming in 10 minutes but it never came and we called AN HOUR LATER to ask where it was and they said nones available. Never ever using them again. Would give 0 stars if I could. One driver was also pretty rude and asked if the car accident (that caused me to be in a wheel chair) was my fault?? Who asks that??

I found many drivers are rude, and impatient even more so than the passenger. Any taxi drivers should act like a mature adult, drive safely, and be patient and respectful. However my experience with the drivers' behavior has been overall very unprofessional and disappointing. There should at least be some screening done to only hire drivers who are decent human beings!

I called and left a voicemail for a manager this morning after an altercation with one of their drivers. So far, no phone call back and it's been over 4 hours. One of their drivers was leaving an elementary school in North Delta this morning at 9 am. They did not stop at the top of the driveway before they proceeded to make their left-hand turn into traffic without checking to make sure it was clear. This driver almost t-boned me. Delta Police has been contacted because that driver could have run over a child due to their negligence. The driver felt it was appropriate to mock me when I honked my horn to alert them. I have photos of the driver in the cab with the cab numberEdit: I finally received a phone call from the manager, Carolyn, at approx 5:30 pm. The driver in question has been reprimanded. We had a good chat and talked about the situation. I felt heard and respected, and more importantly she actually seemed to care about this.I recommend asking for a manager like her if you have any issues with their company.
