Well established church with a committed congregation and a variety of church life programs and groups …Before I went to this church, I went to its website to look for more information about the church. The website is very informative. It shows about this church long history in Markham. The first church building was originally established in 1840. The existing church building is actually its fourth building in its neighbourhood. The stained glass windows in the front and by the two sides of the sanctuary have added much decorative effect to the building. The website also writes about what to expect in the first visit to the church as newcomers and shows much transparency about how the church is run.The church is resourceful enough to have two services: a contemporary service and a traditional service targeted for difference audiences. I came visiting the traditional service which composed of hymns, prayers, scriptures reading, choir singing and sermons. It was a Mother’s day Sunday. The youth pastor shared a mother’s day message with the children and then had the children distributed beautiful carnation to all ladies in the congregation. Rev. Peter Ma was also a theological sounded speaker. He preached about a practical topic about pain and forgiveness in life. He was very courteous. He greeted and shook hands with all people before they left the service. I can see that people in this church are committed church goers who themselves volunteer much for the different church programs.
