Hotel & Suites Monte-Cristo

My friend and I rented a room Wednesday night. When we arrived, the door next to us was slightly opened. We had a bad feeling about this place. When unloading our stuff from the car. There was a sketchy guy with a truck that kept starring at us for multiple minutes. We decide to slept elsewhere. Turns out our feelings was right because someone broke into our room while we were gone. Tried to speak to the staff to obtain a refund but they absolutely refused even though we didn't sleep there. Anyways we did a police report for break and enter. Just a heads up if you're two young beautiful girls. Don't rent this hotel.

The location is great, easy to go anywhere from the hotel. The room was clean except for some housekeeping details on the rug. We were expecting breakfast because we didn't read that they weren't offering it. The girl at the front desk was kind and helpful.

Stayed 2 nights, wasn’t amazing by any means but was good enough for a place to sleep. Their website said free breakfast, but in reality there was none (because of covid I assume). The room was fine, but the bed wasn’t that nice with all their different layers of sheets. The room was clean. The guy at the front desk spoke English and that was great. Got to the hotel later than I said I would and we were still able to check in after 12am, so that was good. Water and coffee are provided in the lobby but not in the room. I just wished their price was more reasonable.

If you dont mind doors not closing even when you lock them (i'm talking about the front door) and people following you. Then this is the place for you ... Make sure you tell your loves one, you love them before going to bed cause that might be the last time!!!

Regular hotel to sleep in Quebec, normal price, could be little bit cheaper considering the condition of the hotel, the service OK.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. The location is perfect--you can find anything you need within walking distance, and it's within easy reach of the major museums and tourist sites. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They even made herbal tea for my granddaughter when she wasn't feeling well. We both loved the pool and sauna. They will arrange for a masseur if you want. Transport to the airport was efficient and reasonably priced. I appreciated the Alexandre Dumas theme and 19th century ambience, too.

I stayed in this hotel 4 years ago and the experience was vastly different. I struggle to comprehend the overall good ratings as of now. The room they gave us this time around stank and smelled of cigarettes. The tiles in the bathroom were stainedand some of them were even broken. The water coming out of the shower alternated from cold to hot to cold again all the time which made taking a shower a hazardous experience to say the least. The area near the swimming pool was really run down compared to our last stay. The paved area was fulll of weeds and all the patio furniture looked like something a cat dragged out of the trash can. We paid 420.00 for 2 nights. How can I put it nicely? Never again. Buyer beware. Do not come this hotel. At this price range it's a rip off .

I had a good experience at this hotel. Stayed for 2 nights during the month of December and paid 90 per night which is quite reasonable. The good thing about the location is that it's very close to the airport. Although it's a 20 min drive from the city and tourist spots. If you have a car it's not a problem. The one thing I didn't like is that there is barely any sound isolation. You can hear others quite easily. But if I came to Quebec city again I would choose this hotel.

How this place has a 3.5 star rating is beyond me. I booked by phone with a woman speaking French, it was $119. I get here to speak English to a man and get charged $140?!?! Plus it was like he rebooked me asking “2 beds?” Yes, that’s what I booked. The hotel smelled of old cigarettes even tho “No Smoking” was posted EVERYWHERE. “Continental Breakfast” was literally JUST COFFEE. I paid $130 at a Best Western and got a FULL BREAKFAST with no stinky rooms. WOW. Booker beware!! The name says “Class” but the hotel is TRASH.
